Posted in the Bond thread but he had a phobia of firearms, due to being shot with an air rifle by his mate when he was a kid, and then a rifle exploded in his hands when he was doing national service. It led to a lot of reshoots on the Bond set apparently as even holding a fake gun freaked him out.
