Ah, fair enough, still pretty sickening though.

 

Decent smoked bacon is lovely and I'd have that over unsmoked any day. But for your average cheap and cheerful brekkie or sandwich, then unsmoked is far better than the stuff you get from a supermarket that tastes like someone's pissed on it.
