Just looking at that Palace/Coutinho penalty shout.

 

Coutinho should've gone down, but it's still a penalty anyway.

 

That he went on to have a blocked shot shouldn't matter. The contact in itself makes it a penalty. The fouled player doesn't have to be taken down for it to be a foul. And, it's definitely no advantage to play on for a foul in the box unless the player scores.

Needs refs to start giving them when players don't go down....would possibly help cut down on diving as well if players knew pens would be given without them going down.
