Many of the joke figure centre backs from the 90s were also better defenders than Lovren and James was a much better keeper than Mignolet.

We're a better team than Watford, we absolutely annihilated them the last time we played them, should take a lot of latent confidence from that. They don't have much riding on this, get the first goal and it'll deflate them. Coutinho is in inspired form, lallana and I hesitate to type this Sturridge is an option. Don't think it can be stressed enough how important the first goal will be.

 

If we score first, I think we'll go on to win by 2 or 3 at least.  We absolutely destroyed them in the fall and we're a much better team than they are.

 

But if they fluke a goal from a corner or set piece or some horrific mistake by Lovren or something, then we will absolutely collapse.  I just don't think we're mentally capable of turning it around, the results today will be in everyone's heads and as soon as any of them think there's a chance we might throw it away it will become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
