We're going to dig deep and beat them. I liked the team posted on the previous page:

Mignolet

Clyne Matip Lovren Milner

Can Wijnaldum

Mane Firmino Coutinho

Origi

Still lots of question marks, but it's the best we can do.

Will the boys from Brazil be dead on their feet after the travel?

Will Origi perk up a bit? Hopefully he remembers his injury against Everton and it prompts him to get angry. Everton wouldn't like him when he gets angry....

OK, I'm going into The Hulk monologue now. Time to sign off.

Edit: if Henderson is fit again he plays. All of a sudden it looks a little better.

is it realistic to expect a change of formation when a lot of the players have been away so not been able to work on it...?

my guess is he'll stick to 4-3-3 and will stick Origi in front 3 and drop Coutinho back or worse Lucas will start in midfield - hope I am wrong on that one

Fair do, same formation 4-3-3, with Coutinho in the three alongside Wijnaldum and Can, and Origi alongside Mane and Firmino.

The two main points with the six players being: I hope our boys from Brazil aren't dead on their feet, as the derby is not the game to coast for a bit while you wake up. And second, Origi has the tools, but he has been far too lackadaisical for most of this season, and if he plays we need him to be on it!

"Altrincham fan" Anthony Taylor from Wythenshawe is the ref. Let's hope he's recovered from that bender he went on for Kevin Friend's stag do, he gave Burnley a pen for a handball by their own player in his last outing.

Can only imagine a group of Premier League referees on a stag. Odds on they shaved off the wrong person's eyebrows.

Liverpool v Everton is known as the ‘Friendly Derby’, yet someone always seems to be sent off,” writes Paul Jeffreys. “Has any Premier League fixture had more red cards?”

It’s harder to find red-card data going back to 1888, so we don’t know what is the dirtiest top-flight fixture of all time but our friends at Opta have confirmed that the Merseyside derby is, by quite a distance, the Premier League match with the most red cards.

To date there have been 21 red cards in 49 Premier League derbies. Three of these came in one game in September 1999, when Franny Jeffers and Sander Westerveld threw hands and Steven Gerrard was a couple of days late on Kevin Campbell. Gerrard and Phil Neville have each been sent off twice.

In second place on the list – unsurprisingly, given its nature – is Liverpool v Manchester United. There have been 16 red cards in that fixture, a couple of them to somebody other than Nemanja Vidic.

The full list of shame is:

21 Everton v Liverpool

16 Liverpool v Manchester United

15 Everton v Newcastle United

14 Liverpool v Newcastle United

13 Chelsea v Everton, Aston Villa v Newcastle United

12 Arsenal v Liverpool, Arsenal v Chelsea

A what, when, how now?

Fill out your slip like this.

One pound (or whatever) there will be a red card

One pound (or whatever) on Lucas first goal scorer

One pound (or whatever) double

If they come in, an extra one pound (or whatever) will go from one bet to the other, doubling your stake on each individual bet. Then you got the double itself to come.

Quids in on those two dead certs.

Nod as good as a wink and all that!
