Klopp's Methods Getting Stick Again...

You definitely should because it's obvious that this is what has happened.

Our absentee owners certainly love people stupid enough to buy that. Wonder whose next to blame after Ayre and Klopp?

Laughable how easy the owners hoodwink a fanbase who really should know better.

Its okey to call Ayre stupid, but Klopp seems like a smart fella.

Can't really see what he's doing wrong.

A firm chance of a top 4 finish with a squad that's not as good as the one that came 2nd. Of course there's a massive inconsistency issue, but that's been true of all but the top 2 teams this season.

Pointless spending for the sake of it, it's better to wait until the right players are available (or persuadable).

He's been honest in his interviews, hasn't said a thing that's controversial, and has shown he's capable of creating a team that doesn't need to fear anybody in this league. If he can crack the consistency problem with a stronger and more consistent squad the best he can hope for is to be title contenders (along with 4-5 other very good teams).

What do people really expect from him? 3rd? 2nd? champions?

Cant blame him for the 2 final losses with us when you consider the circumstances last year. Mig fucked us up at Wembley then the ref fucked us over in the final in the first half. Should have been 2-0 up minimum before typical madness from Albert the Moron and the players becoming shithouses at 1-1

For Bayern he lost to Bayern twice and a really good and really expensivly assembled Wolfsburg side

Do you think klopp struggles with in game management?

Could this be why he has lost so many finals?

Possibly, but in-game management is much easier with players like Hyypia, Carragher, Hamann, Alonso, Suarez and Gerrard on the field.

We lack in smartness and leadership at the moment.

Also, his Dortmund and Liverpool sides were generally playing better teams in those games.

If it was such a key factor, how would he made it to so many finals?

Our squad is brutal, the players on the bench make no difference. So its really hard to judge much upon that.

...

This is where I see him struggle. This isn't about having great players available, It's about changing things to suit the ones you have, to defeat the tactics of the opposition.

And Moreno has been made to pay for his appalling final performance as he has barely featured this season and been replaced by a right footed(utility player) left back. Sturridge has been treated as a malingerer should and a player who popped supplements without the clubs knowledge and acted like a 5 year old has been shipped out. Hard to argue with any of that.

You could argue moreno should have been hooked after they equalised or klopp could have set us up more defensive to defend 1 goal lead in 2nd half and counter them.

You'd hope its a learning curve for Klopp too. It may be that the 'self centred and egotistical nature' of players is set at a much higher level over here than in the Bundesliga? With the money being paid its likely that is the case. Paying around £15 million in Germany might purchase somebody in the Philip Lahm category rather than the Alberto Moreno one!

I do think there has been some justifiable criticism of Klopp's in game decisions but maybe he has as little faith in his squad players as most supporters do?

Klopp unbeaten in the Top 6 home or away and in the Capital this year. deserves a massive amount of respect for this. hell of an achievement with this squad. just got to finish the job Sunday to make all that effort fully worthwhile

And here lies the problem. We are shitting ourselves over a game against an already relegated team because our form lends itself to us bottling it against lesser teams.

To be honest I think that says more about our/Klopps style and how it works against other teams rather than some super achievement. When we play teams who want to play football, we are better at finding and exploiting spaces, pressing to disrupt their play etc. When we play teams who sit back we struggle to break them down and are very vulnerable to the counter.

For the record I think Klopp is boss, I just wouldn't wave such a selective subset of results around when the flip side of that coin smells so shitty.

quite a big subset of successful results, depends which way you want to look at it. we've a cracking team and no bench so we are limited in options. with what we have, it's remarkable in some ways. factor in the injuries. even more so.

not just Klopp at home, other managers have fell into a bit of trap with going with same tactics and team selection across the board, home and away. not being bold enough when it's our initiative. need a sort of fuck you, we'll do what we want against some of the lesser lights. like they do to us when they play at home. hopefully he'll go down that route with more players to pick from. those bad results should indicate this slight adjustment is required here and there. so the other managers are not always 100 per cent sure what you are going to do. it's getting the balance right.

we dream the same dream, we want the same thing

We had no problems breaking crap teams down before xmas with Mane playing. No issues once he got back in the team.

Sounds like the issue is squad depth and cover for Mane as nuch as anything

This.

We weren't in the top 2 just by beating the top 6. We were pretty much bumming most sides up to December/January before an over reliance on one player came to the fore.

This could also be attributed,in part,to the 'heavy metal' football we were playing right from the off in August too. Doing it with a paper thin squad was always risky but maybe the thought process was along the lines of 'If we have a great start at least any monumental lapses will still give us the possibility of European football come the end of the season.' So many questions with no definitive answers.
