Actual date announced this time. If it's even half as good on PS4 as PC it will be great fun.

And a little video from the PC version of me playing it, I'm sure any one who knows me is shocked to see I have a tendency to use the rip off they did of the Ford Escort.

The new CoD has a brand new engine too. Waiting to see multiplayer game play.

I'll likely pre-order if that grants access to a beta.

I won't be going steaming in buying it until I've seen the Beta and gotten a feel for it. But hopefully it might head back more towards what it was.

I'm not going to get my hopes up just yet. But it looks promising.

I've pre-ordered as well on the off chance it's good. Hopefully I wont end up cancelling it like I did after the WW2 beta.

I'm busy on friday night Al, but the rest of the weekend if you're going on give me a shout and we can party up and lose our shit at how often we get massacred.

I'm on day shift Friday & Saturday, then nights Sunday and Monday, so Saturday night is the only chance I'll have to get on, so long as I can stay awake after the day shift.

You can preload the 2v2 Alpha now. File is around 36Gb. I kicked mine off last night, so I might have a quick run when I get home after work.

Been playing the 2v2 Alpha a little bit more , new engine feels OK. Time to kill seems a bit off, but that might just be me getting used to it.

With it being 2v2 and really small maps and no real tactical element it's not really been my bag, probably not helped by the fact I've only played it with randoms. Might be OK with someone else or once we get some bigger maps/tdm etc.

I’ll be playing the absolute fuck out of it. The new engine is so much better for the type of game I like to play. I have always avoided COD like the plague, but now it’s not a hitscan POS and will be decent on PC, as controller is just about the worst way to play an FPS game, I’ll definitely look to put some time into it. 2v2 and 5v5 is my bag.

Modern Warfare Open Beta is bit frustrating. Like the engine, hate the way I seem to be lose every one on one even if I have outflanked them and they don't know I'm there till I start firing.

It's also feeling very, very, spawn trappy.

Had an hour or so on it earlier. Enjoyed it overall, though there's the normal CoD deaths where from your perspective, there's no way old fuck face had the drop on you, yet you're the one pushing up daisies. Had a few myself, and I'm sure I got lucky once or thrice as well.

I just played through the rotational playlist. Got placed on a couple of rank teams, just horrible. One Domination game I joined late on, I finished 2nd in my team with 8 kills, 9 deaths a couple of caps and a defend, while morons were running about like headless chickens and giving the opposition free kills to call in streak after streak. There's only so many UAVs & personal drones I can take down in 1 life without Scavenger...

Had other lobbies where it was very competitive, with almost everyone at around the same skill level. These were very enjoyable. Went on some good streaks and played the objective as hard as I could.

Like other CoD games, this is going to frustrate when you join a game in progress and get smashed because the oppo have built up enough momentum & streaks to just constantly feel that they are on top of you, or when you're placed into a lobby full of imbeciles.

What I did like though, was the larger player count lobby that my last game was on. 10 v 10 Domination on Grazna Raid. My team mates were morons, but the map was very well scaled. Not too small that the enemy were on top of you all the time, nor too big that you didn't see anyone for an age.

There have been Tweets to say that we can expect the 64 player lobby games at some stage during the beta, which will include access to the Infantry Assault Vehicle killstreak.

Quote

Infantry Assault Vehicle

Call in a light infantry tank, and after it lands on the field of battle, enter the entrance hatch, reach the driver’s seat, and begin to demolish the enemy! While maneuvering the tank, you should be mindful of the vehicle’s health reserves, and the limited time you have to utilize this Killstreak. You can accelerate, brake, steer, and fire the vehicle’s main cannon (with an independent turret to aim). Or, you can switch to the turret gunner’s position and lay waste to the opposition using the 50-caliber machinegun. Bring along a teammate to enjoy all the vehicle’s capabilities at once!

This vehicle is only available on a selection of larger maps, such as Grazna Raid. If this Killstreak is selected when loading into a smaller map, it will be replaced with Wheelson.

Going to get on again at some stage tomorrow after the game to get some more play time. I'm encouraged with what I've played so far, but not getting carried away just yet. Waiting for the beta to open up to all tomorrow to see how the servers hold up.

I was starting to worry that this would be shit, but I'm starting to change my mind, they've clearly put a lot of effort into maintaining the spirit of the original game.

I'm quite looking forward to this. i'm not a JRPG fan by any means, but I did enjoy the original, dodgy PC port and all. I even spent time breeding a golden chocobo, albeit with the help of a guide, fuck knows how anyone would discover how to do it by themselves. I just hope they've put in the option to skip the animation of some of the longer attacks, having to sit through Knights of the Round multiple times in the bigger fights got really tedious.

CyperPunk delayed from April till September.

They say the game is done but just fixing some issues and bugs. I'd rather wait for this to be honest. Looks to good to be waiting on fix patches.

Probably want to wait and possibly go for new console release too

Release Date Updates

As our teams at Sony Interactive Entertainment and Worldwide Studios approach development milestones and confront a world changed by COVID-19, we find ourselves having to adapt to today’s ever-changing environment.

Amidst some disruptions to our working styles, we wanted to provide an update to PlayStation gamers who are eager to learn when our next exclusive titles will arrive to PlayStation 4.

As we begin to see an ease in the global distribution environment, I am pleased to confirm that The Last of Us Part II will arrive on 19th June. And Ghost of Tsushima will follow on 17th July.

I want to personally congratulate and thank both the teams at Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch Productions on their achievements, as we know it’s not an easy feat to reach the finish line under these circumstances. Both teams have worked hard to deliver world-class experiences, and we can’t wait to see what you think of them when they release in just a few short months.

And finally, I want to thank the PlayStation Community for their continuous support and patience.
