If he keeps up this form you'd imagine Klopp will have to reconsider getting rid in the summer, he's looking like the focal point of all of Hull's attacks and is looking threatening every time he gets the ball.

Considering he's still only 22 it could be worth giving him a run out next season. Is there any other reason Klopp didn't want him back other than the fact he was a bit, um, shit?

Because our fixture list after January was always going to be very small and Klopp has a base starting eleven that he trusts which means he'd get very little playing time.

I don't want us to sell Markovic. He's a player who isn't only quick but he has technique and vision as well.

Markovic clearly has talent. The lad need a psychologist and clear run of games to perhaps show it. I just can't imagine he'll ever get that here.

He had a chance in Portugal and bombed.

He's a lightweight, we have enough.

Nah, we've got enough middling lightweights.

I don't get the lightweight thing. Some of the league's best players are very slight. Seems like a weird Merson-esque take to think that small players can't perform in the #BestLeagueInTheWorld.

I don't care if he eventually turns out to be a half decent player. He's symptomatic of everything that is wrong with our transfer policy. I couldn't watch him in a red shirt without him evoking how we quibble over a few hundred grand on Dele Alli, but lash £20m at this fraud.

The problem with him is that if he was back as a squad player (I don't think anyone's saying he'd make the first team regularly) then he needs to be a back-up/alternative to someone.

Goalie - hmmm, but no. Back four, no. Mid 3 - not going to do what Henderson does, not good enough to stand in for Lallana or Gini. Front 3, not a CF, could he do what PC does? No. A stand-in for Mane - maybe, if he has pace (I am not sure how quick he is).

That's a pretty limited role. There is little chance of him getting a new contract (2 years left) so the best thing is for him to look good for Hull for a few games and to cash in. The question isn't as much whether he can get back into the squad as to why he was ever bought in the first place.
