Sonos or Bose?

I want to start with a wireless multi room system at home and i was going to start with the Sonos Play 1 (£170) but i can get two Bose Soundtouch 10's for £250.

Anyone got either of these and if so, which would you recommend? Both seem to have their pro's and cons.

Thanks mate, I know a few  people who have Sonos systems and love them, i'm just thinking the price of the Bose bundle may lead me there.

It is the one down side to the Sonos for me, is that you very rarely find them on sale, or in bundles that'll save you a few quid.

I'm sure you will, but I'd always suggest going in store and getting a demonstration of the kit, if possible. It's all well and good seeing stuff on the interweb, but you can't beat going in store and checking the item(s) out in the flesh, especially when you're spending a fair whack on said item(s).

It's for convenience more than anything else Stringy. I have already got the Technics system (from 1989, still going strong and sounding fantastic) for vinyl and CDs in the living room, but i like to have music on in the kitchen when i'm cooking up my earth shattering recipes and i could do with something convenient in the bedroom as well, if you know what i mean.

  • 4 weeks later...

I've had the two Bose speakers now for a couple of weeks and they are boss(bose?). Occasional issues with the soundtouch app but overall they are superb in terms of sound. Helps enormously that the app updated to allow stereo listening as opposed to two mono's
