just the main things really, the castle, Edinburgh dungeon tour, Mary King's close, some nice meals and stuff. Deffo gonna go back, maybe for the Christmas markets?

Funnily enough one of the boys in our London office phoned me this morning & asked what Edinburgh was like at Christmas for a break, I doubt you'll find a prettier city centre in Britain in December. The Christmas markets tend to be really busy though although I suppose you get that with any sort of shopping at that time of year, there's an ice rink & the big wheel & all that in Princes St Gardens as well.

If you ever need any tips or anything, feel free to give us a shout.

There is quite a lot on over Christmas and New Year in Edinburgh but I much prefer the festival.

The Christmas stuff, the markets and the funfair stuff always give me that feeling of forced fun and being charged inflated prices for shite you don't really want. Clearly, loads must feel very differently about it as it's always packed

We haven't had a 'proper' summer holiday as we're currently saving for the wedding and honeymoon. I managed to squeeze in a trip to Green Man Festival and we had a few days away together in London.

We're having a winter holiday for the first time, for the honeymoon, over New Year. We're going to Helsinki for a couple of days before going up to Laki Inari, in Sapmi/Northern Finland where we'll be husky sledding, reindeer farming and sleeping in a glass domed cabin with the hope of seeing the Northern Lights.

booked a cruise for next year, Mrs has always wanted to go on one but I was indifferent, but everyone reckons they're really good.

Going to Croatia, Slovenia, Italy and Corfu.

Just got back from Angelsey...was lovely as ever and the weather was surprisingly good

Don't want to piss on your chips, mate, but they say Cruises are for newly weds or nearly deads. Sure it'll be ace, though

Think it's Koper, Kotor in Montenegro (forgot about that) Split, Montenegro, Venice and Corfu Town with a day at sea.

Kotor is ace, there a great fish restaurant on stilts not far from the gates. Split is a bit busy these days but the national park at the end of the harbour is worth a visit. Would also recommend a Bellini at Harry's Bar in Venice, it's pricey and a bit cliche but Hemingway knew his alcohol. The Dalmatian coast that you'll be travelling along is beautiful
