Our transfer hopes remind me of that scene in Fawlty Towers when Fawlty opens Lord Melbury's suitcase expecting to find riches and answers, only to find two house bricks, which he picks up and shakes in the hope that he can hear the rattle of hope, instead, absolute nothingness.

Well my friends, thats us right there - two shithouse house bricks masquerading as our hope and aspirations.

Having Basil Fawlty as our CEO would be a step in the right direction compared to what is going on now.

It's nothing new though is it? Same thing happened with Zielinski last season.

“My head was a mess. Liverpool finally got a plane and I met with Jurgen Klopp. He said he wanted me in his team. I saw a different world and after returning my head was even a bigger mess.”

He added: “I really wanted to start the preparations for the new season with a new team as soon as possible.

“I knew that Liverpool wanted me badly and I knew they would return to the talks as I got that promise in January. It didn’t work out for them with Udinese at the end.

So this De Vrij lad then. I couldn't pick him out of a line up but the blues seem to think they were targeting him and are pissed off with our rumoured bid. Where are the Serie A buffs on here to convince us all that he's better than Van Dijk anyway?

Van Der valk deserves a mention as well.

He was last years van Dijk (or was it the year before).

This De Vrij sounds perfect for us:

His second season began with the 2015 Supercoppa Italiana, playing the full 90 minutes of a 2–0 loss to Juventus in Shanghai.[13] In September, he picked up a knee injury on international duty but was passed fit to play a further match for the Netherlands, infuriating Lazio's medical staff.[14] He did not make a sufficient recovery, and the following month, was subjected to an operation.[15] In November, it was confirmed that he would miss the next six months due to the injury.[16]

Hahaha. The biggest surprise about that is that he's not already on our books.

We've been calling for football men like Dean or Barwick to come in to the club for years, but no we keep getting used car salesmen. Not a fuckin clue.My big worry now is that Klopp will fuck off,and I wouldn't blame him.

The reports say Klopp met with van Dijk without consent. No one knows enough about this yet to know who to place the blame on, but he's most likely partly at fault.

We'd be okay... we survived Rafa leaving.

I really do not think he is. Managers have been doing this since day dot. The problem was when we leaked it to the entire fucking world and then tried to low ball Southampton and force them into a sabotage sale.

Yeah, that's true. The transfer people  and whoever decides that it's a good idea to leak every single detail  about every single transfer are definitely the biggest culprits from what we know. Klopp probably shouldn't be taking clandestine meetings with targets, though.
