No weeks of talk about it, supposed agreements and rows between clubs.

What the fuck!

It's remarkable how fuss-free things can be when, seeking to buy a player, a club first contacts his employer, enquires discreetly about his availability, and meets the asking price.

Like Mane, and less like Leicesters pursuit of other players that were drawn out.

It's almost like it's transfer dependent instead of one club does everything perfectly and another everything wrong.

The talking might have been going on for a number of weeks but because Leicester are not as high-profile as us, most of it will not have made national or even social media. I wouldn't just assume that Leicester contacted Man CIty today enquiring about the player and then made an offer, as you and others seem to be insinuating with your sniping. Where our club is certainly open to criticism is with the way they manage to piss off so many clubs. It's not a Michael Edwards thing, an Ian Ayre thing or even an FSG thing, although they have all been a significant part of the problem. We were getting pulled up for all sorts of shit going back as far as Houllier's time as manager.

I preferred their early stuff. Dempsey.

Trying to swap Henderson for Dempsey and then apologising for it is definitely their magnum opus. It was always going to be very difficult to outshine that one, but to their credit, they do give it a real go every transfer window.

I, for one, am looking forward to the meltdown when the window ends and we haven't signed anyone but Salah, Solanke and Robertson and Sakho has gone back out on loan.

And Fiorentina take Sturridge on loan and absolutely 100% definitely scout's honour promise to sign him for £30m at the end of the season.
