Busy initial start, flapped at their first cross and conceded, bag of shit for a while, got a grip and equalised, controlled the game and went ahead.

Need a quick start in the second half and hopefully put these fuckers to the sword.

Well, not fully sure what to make of us today! We were slow getting started and easily could have been a couple down. Stoke were really going for it, and wee Joe was playing well, as was the lad on the left (Pieters?) Walters the blue did his usual...

But then we started to get back at them. Lallana lovely finish, Firmino in off both posts, and one or two other looks that could have seen us add a third.

Ideally we start the second half like we ended the first and blow them away in the first fifteen minutes with another goal or two. Three points are crucial to keep in touch with Chelsea.

71% possession, 14 to 5 shots, 84% pass quota. That is stats for you, don't always tell the whole picture.

No, but they often tell you that what you think you're seeing isn't really what's happening.

Listening to this Sky co-commentator you'd think it was an even half and we were lucky to go in ahead.  Instead those stats tell you the story.  They got a goal against the run of play, then we were rocked a bit for 5 or 10 minutes afterward and then gained control again.  At no point outside that goal or the 10 minutes that followed did they even remotely threaten, and they were running themselves into the ground trying to press.

We will win this 4-1.

Defensive organisation has been a total shambles but good last 15 mins there. To be fair, Hughes has done a good job of eliminating our midfield's counter-pressing by playing it direct into Crouch, and leaving our defence with little midfield protection in the process. Nevertheless, Lovren has had a horrific first 45 minutes here. Hendo and Gini have also been pretty poor. Could do with Can in there.
