Just started watching Anderson vs Gilding on Sky Darts and the commentary makes Martin Tyler look like a season pro.

"double 11 required!"

Camera pans in

Double 16 hit

"double 16 I mean!"

Cracking game mind.

Wish the crowd would stop singing that one fucking song over and over.

The crowd get on my tits at times, just a bunch of drunken cunts, although the scantily dressed women with their tits on show are a bonus.

2-1 to VG now, but Reyes had a chance to nick that third set. VG is a very good player but I just can't like the cunt, especially when he does his gurning act.

Reyes having a right good go here, he has actually played well the whole match.

You can tell VG is worried as he's stopped his stupid gurning.

It's insane how high you have to score against the very top players. It must be mentally exhausting knowing you've got to get a treble every three darts on average to have a chance at winning.

A lot of it also comes down to the high finishes or indeed taking your chances at a double. Things should get interesting in the latter stages of this tournament. MVG is the player to beat but seems to struggle at this tournament when you consider how he performs in the others.

Not sure he struggles as such, he has averaged 105 or so in both of his games this year, lost last year with 105 average having averaged 100 and 109 in the other two rounds, lost with 100 the year before, won it the year before, lost in the final the year before.  I think it's more a case that other players up their game in this and the field levels a bit more than in other tournaments.  Also, the set format changes things slightly

All good points mate, but MVG averages a lot higher in other tournaments at times. Sky did some stat thing on him before this started and it made for interesting reading. You only have to be off the ball for a set or two at this level and you are fucked, especially if you struggle on your doubles.

That match against Reyes tonight might have done him some favours though, he was worried and you could physically see that, but he got through and it will help rather than hinder his confidence.

Watching Brendan Dolan reminded me of this

The commentator actually said there was a time limit introduced of five minutes to release three darts! That guy is slow but if some people were taking over five minutes to release three darts, you could have a beer break between each fucking dart!
