Have we ever bummed a team hard without Cou?

Not feeling very confident about this one. They're shite but not sure Origi will fair against their yard-dog defence and they'll be just as desperate for a clean sheet as us after their recent results. Throw in a nervy Karius and who knows how this one will turn out.

Lallana and Matip back will be a massive boost.

West Ham are fucking shit.

I've watched them twice in the last week or so, the 4-1 and 5-1 hammering by Utd and Arsenal respectively and West Ham got off lightly both times.

They're also the only team Everton have beaten in the last 11 games.

No excuses tomorrow, they're fucking gash.

I just had a flashback to last season's FA Cup game at Anfield.  The weather was shite and a bloke near me in the Main Stand was going absolutely ballistic at Bilic, because he was wearing a woolly hat but no coat in the first half.  Forty-five minutes of non-stop "Make your fucking mind up!  Are you cold or not?"

I love the way the pettiest, most ridiculous shit gets under your skin when you're at the match.

Klopp was well entitled to gee up the crowd. A certain resignation that it wasn't our day was sweeping round the ground as it fell flat. Klopp wasn't having it, he stoked it up, the crowd got going, the team got going and we won the three points. Good stuff.

Well, Rev, how exactly do you match the first paragraph up with this:

Shankly also used to talk about the "Holy Trinity" of manager, players and fans.  All of them have their job to do and they all have to do it together.

Modern football crowds are shite at supporting their teams.  It's pure speculation, obviously, but I'd guess that if Shankly lived and worked in this era he would be as honest with the fans about what was demanded of them as he always was with the players.

Hopefully Klopp has realised that no great, good or even mediocre Liverpool side contains Lucas Leiva at centre half.

I like Lucas but reckon I could give him the runaround despite my newfound inability to actually sprint. When I run its like I'm doing the egg and spoon race. Without the egg and spoon.

Gold was raised in East London and for some time lived at 442 Green Street near to West Ham's Boleyn Ground. He played youth team football for West Ham.[2] His father, Godfrey,[3]was an East End criminal, known locally as 'Goldy', who spent time in prison during Gold's early years.

Comedy Gold.

Enjoy your visit to a ground steeped in history and soaked in atmosphere where the fans don't fight one another and whose owners aren't dirty porn barons*
