Just tried the Tesco finest Salted caramel liqueur, I could inhale a bottle of it without blinking. A bit like baileys but loads better. Supreme.

Kings ginger liqueur is also fantastic.

Maybe I should have just started a liqueur thread, oh well, it's done now

My bird got given some Kraken black spiced rum for her birthday yesterday. I'm enjoying it so far.

Ooh lovely drop that. I got my haircut in some new hipster barbers in southsea in the summer. They have loads of botulism of spirits in there for decoration. I assumed they were empty. Anyway the owner is cutting my hair and there were about 6 bottles lined up opposite me and I asked him what that Kraken was like. He stopped cutting my hair and poured us both a neat one. This was about 11am.

There is a Peruvian Rum (yes, Peruvian, I ignorantly thought it was a Caribbean only tipple) called Ron Millanaro. It's not just the best rum I've ever tasted, but the best spirit of any kind.

Absolutely lovely!

Frighteningly expensive though so I'll probably never taste it again.

I'll always have my memories though.

I saw the Salted Caramel liqueur and thought it looked too sweet but I may have to pick a bottle up on my next alcohol purchasing trip.

William Larue Weller, wheated Bourbon. I've had it twice and it’s amazing, a proper sipping bourbon, with varying strengths from 65-74% depending on which barrel. The sad part is the price, a bottle is ridiculously priced and at £12 a shot you can only guess what a bottle must go for. If you get the chance and you like bourbon, grab yourself a shot, as daft as it sounds - you'll be sniffing the glass for hours after.

Not fine alcohol but I thought I'd post one to avoid.

We were drinking with a Zimbabwean bird a couple of months ago and she brought this along. She described it as a South African kind of Baileys and said it's made using a fruit or nut that wild elephants eat. I was polite at the time, trying to make out I was a cultured drinker but in all honesty it tasted like an elephant had just shit it out.

Yeah ive had that. It was vile. I rented a room for a few months years ago and when I viewed it the landlord hadn't properly cleared out the previous tenants stuff and he had left a bottle of that. I got in one night after the pub and drank the rest of it and it was vile. Still finished it though.
