Squad, more than team. Sadly ‘the scouser in our squad’ doesn’t have the same flow or oomph!

Oooh- now being my Bank Holiday word for the day. Oomph.

Anthony Gordon will sort this issue out in the summer

His creativity from right back is unique, but creativity in general isn't.

No reason why we can't just have a restructure where we have a more defensively solid right back who occasionally sets goals up, and have the actual bulk of the creativity and play making coming from midfield.

We don't really need the next Trent, we need two of the next Robertson

We really need to push the boat in getting Kerkez. Trawling the Cherries forum, 90+ mill is being bandied about as they too are resigned to losing him this summer.

If Slot wants to fish in familiar waters, I'm liking the look of David Hanko. A powerhouse of a left back who can also play left sided centre back. Thanks to the wonders of Google translate, Feyenoord supporters are bracing themselves for Red raiding party this upcoming window.

It annoys me that Madrid once again get a player to run his contract down  and a club gets fuck all. Overall I'm not that arsed. He's unbelievable with the ball but I'm happy for us to change where in the team our creativity comes from and in the summer that's an absolute must buy... a creative player because Bradley isn't the answer to that. If Salah isn't doing any defending I'd rather a right back defend and the usual babysitting midfielder that covers for Salah and Trent has the freedom to offer more with the ball, not sure if  Szobozlai is that guy.

I hope he doesn't get bood and I hate all this "rat" shit. He's lost any legendary status for me I'll remember his moments fondly like I do with Origi but I'm indifferent to him. I hope he does well individually for Madrid but I can't stand Madrid so I hope their galactico side becomes a hell hole shit pipe.

This is all pretty much how I feel. I wouldn’t underestimate Bradley’s creativity though …. either as overlapping, crossing full back (assist for Szoboszlai v Chelsea last season) or driving through midfield to set up Diaz against Fulham recently. A creative midfielder in addition would be very welcome of course.

Many were slating him in the Chelsea match thread, apart from one misplaced pass when we were chasing for the equaliser I thought he did well. Harvey on the other hand...

The club should 100% make him honour the full length of his contract.

Contracts are contract and the strings etc are the strings - same as how he can leave for free at end of it.

So he remains an LFC employee until it ends.

Oh, we deffo shouldn't let him go for free. If they want him, make the bid they did in January. Id be happy with 20m to let him go early.

What is this new "passes eye test " crack ?

Here goes Bradley passes my eye test .

Needs to go in the bin alongside other American sounding shite like 'profile', 'numbers' and 'break the lines'.

Strange with Curtis, when he became a father, he went on to play a level of football that I don’t think he’s ever been at, after about 3 or 4 games he got injured, he came back and since then hasn’t hit that high, his missus can’t have 15-20 kids a season, so he needs for me, to take a long look at himself and understand how he can have that level of impact at a consistent level.

No one wants him, or Harvey to fail, but they have both plateaued and they need to move on from there, or they will both have to move on, as they are not pushing and challenging the 3 go to starters of Dom, Grav and Mac.

They're all super terms to use in a footy convo, I'm afraid.

Smart time to announce it, really. Everyone's in jolly mode for the last few games, and negotiations to get him to the CWC will probably start leaking out.

I thought I heard on the news he will be playing in the CWC.

Madrid need to strike a deal with LFC to do that. His contract runs till the end of June.

£100m should cover it.

I arguably want him to start well there just so he gets comfortable acting the complete bell end like he’s done here.  Then when the inevitable downfall comes from the lazy arrogant behaviour on the pitch they will have the same people over there blindly defending him as he costs them big game after big game.  Madrid have no idea what they are letting themselves in for here.  It’s going to be like a grenade going off when he starts walking around the pitch instead of defending.

He's definitely creative with lots of room for improvement too. I'd say he's better at driving through the middle and playing one twos whilst he shifts out wide to drill balls in. He gets into the box more often too which draws out defenders and he can pick out a nice driven low ball into the middle.

I mean, I don't think it's that arguable. It's like when people argue he should play in midfield. The reason he's just not a midfielder is basically because he does not control the tempo. If he did, he'd play midfield.

It's a caricature to say he just swings his right foot and makes things happen, but that's honestly not that far off from what he's been. It's low percentage, high risk high reward. It's not control. You could say he has the ability to set the tempo for matches to be more up and down and I'd agree with you, but I don't think that's what you're saying.

No, the reason he can't play in midfield isn't because he can't control the tempo. Playing in midfield is an extremely difficult position. You have to have awareness, receive the ball with your back to play and side on. You have pressure from multiple angles. You have to be dynamic, fit, strong, athletic, good positionally, sense danger, read the game, be good in the air, be good at tackling and have a good engine

He's lacking in loads of those things. And he also played most of his professional game at right back, so to then put him up against seasoned/experienced professionals who've been playing centre mid for their whole careers was unfair

But he definitely sets the tempo for our team and that point I'll argue with anybody. He's our playmaker and we're going to miss him unless we find a top player in midfield who can do the same. But we're looking at Bajcetic again so I'm not holding my breath.

To lose a player like him is a massive blow for us.
