What did James P say?

NEW: Trent Alexander-Arnold’s hamstring injury isn’t serious and there’s cautious optimism inside the club that if he continues to respond well to treatment then he should be fit for most of that April schedule

The Echo have also started referring to it as a 'minor' hamstring injury.

These internationals really are pointless. They're all friendlies, surprised Henderson hasn't pulled out as well

He never does and will probably end up injured. I like Henderson and think he's a decent human being as well as top footballer, but him constantly trying to 'please' everybody will end his career sooner than it really should.

A master stroke by Jurgen, what was it, during \ after the arsenal game saying he supposedly picked up an injury? Hmmm, ok!

Timed it perfectly so he missed this international nonesense, gives the lad a break in Dubai and means Joe gets a couple of games run out.

I reckon he'll sit out Watford and even with Joe at RB, we should be too strong for them.

Hendo's such a top bloke, he is desperate for a lot of his England mates to experience what it's like to win a trophy!

In all seriousness, they have come very close recently so will fancy their chances at the upcoming WC. Probably his last hurrah for the national team, so I can't really blame him.

According to James Pearce, Alexander-Arnold still faces a “race against time” for his intended return date of April 10, when Liverpool head to Man City.

The right-back is already set to miss both the Watford clash (April 2) and the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Benfica (April 5), but it is explained that a comeback at the Etihad would “still represent a quick return to action.”

Alexander-Arnold, who has been doing his rehab at Dubai’s Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex, has some important hurdles to clear in the coming week before he is given the green light to resume full training at Kirkby,” Pearce writes.

Give him minutes at the end of the game or is we need some creativity if they think he's ready but don't start him.

Can't see him playing saturday myself - but hopefully v benfica and really fucking need him v the cheats.
