I think a lot of these things we are reading about have their roots in the LMA. A lot of their members like chasing the money. Several appear to like a bung. They have their own little managerial merry-go-round. There's a scarcely hidden hatred of foreign managers and their methods. They all talk as though they are of a higher level than they actually are. Their members are incapable of providing any insight or explanation when doing punditry, and live on cliches about zonal marking and 'getting it in the mixer'. And then there's their biggest failing - producing winners without winning. If so many of them didn't have their tongue up the arse of a certain overlord, they'd probably be richer in terms of trophies and poorer (for the short-term perhaps) in terms of cash.
