We got past Spurs with a mismatch side cause they put out a similar team and were the better team for large spells of the game.

 

A first choice cohesive leeds team could well be more than a match for players not good enough and kids.   Just stupid taking the chance when we're so close to silverware.

My first memory of watching Leeds was Tommy Smith wiping out Allan Clarke from behind in the first five minutes of the game. Fair tackle in those days and Sniffer was very quiet for the rest of the game. Always hated Leeds.

The anfield wrap special on leeds was a good listen. Went into the rivalry that existed in the mid 60s to mid to late 70s and the early 2000s.

Went on a freezing weeknight, won 2-0, seem to remember Fowler scored a daisy cutter which my ma described as "jammy" when we got home.  I'm not sure if I'm mixing this up with Villa away on an equally cold night with Collymore scoring a belter free kick.
