I nearly went for one who is a huge name but I didn't see him play so I thought against it.

There are good records for big names from the past, written and video. As an example outside of this draft - I never saw Eusebio play but I heard he was pretty good. Some of the lesser names I think the modern player always gets the nod as people cannot seem to reconcile the sheer athleticism of todays players.

I thought the whole point was we judge them on their ability regardless. Puts peolle at a disadvatage otherwise. We all know enough about footy to be able to judge properly. Otuerwise thank fuck Stringvest isnt playing. I've seen enough of Jimmy Johnstone to know he was one of the best wingers of his time. If not the best for a few years. Oh and im 79 you ale house bastards.
