Seriously, this Japanese shit. Are we suddenly supposed to give some kind of an emotional shit about this Sakura character who#s only just appeared? Or is is that it's some kind of an analogy about Thandie Newton and her daughter or some shit? Either way it's boring the arse off me now. As is the storyline about that Teddy bloke and Delores. There's an underlying story somewhere in all this that's pretty good but there's just too much focus on style and things I couldn't give a fuck about.

I’m enjoying it so far, but not as much as S1.

I understand what’s happening but I don’t think I’d be able to explain it to anybody.

Most underwhelming 'big show' ever. Everything is set up for it to be epic but it's just not, the delays between seasons stop all momentum as well.

I'll still watch it.

I was getting a bit bored of it even in series 1- it looked like it was going down that 'Lost' route of ridiculous cryptic nonsense designed more to rile up conspiracy theorist fanboys on the web than to present a coherent plot. Is season 2 worth watching?

Yeah it's still worth watching but the cryptic stuff is still heavily in play. I think there's something wrong with this show.

Cheers. I think I'll wait till the end of this season then and see if it's worth my time.

It's been a dissapointment overall. It was set up to be the new flagship HBO show, taking over the torch from GOT and it had the cast and budget to be something special but they've fucked it up by making things far too complicated. I think even the writers are lost in the maze they've created.

Yeah, like I said, I kind of felt that in the first series after a few episodes. Lost was the same- great premise, then they piled so many 'mysteries' on top that it was obvious it would never be resolved sensibly. Still, provides fodder for fanatics on the web who think they see symbolism everywhere.

Most shows that go down the cryptic route end up a mess.

The only recent one that I can think of that has done it well is Dark.

Actually I think the problem is that it is all style over substance.

Series 2 was simply messing with chronology and showed the ending at the beginning.

All in all its been caught out. Like a pretty but dim woman its nice to look at but too empty and pointless to keep you interested for too long

If Thandie Newton and the blonde girl get naked again at least it will be watchable.

Is it based on a true story?

It's based on the original vision for Prestatyn Pontins, which sadly didn't work out after the On the Buses film ruined the mystique.

Maybe it was created by humanoid robots posing as writers?
