Bits and bobs leaking out already. She’s told them in the room that she won’t be leader at the next General Election in a bid to win their votes.

Amazing if they fell for it, there's not going to be a general election and i'm not pulling the vote. Labour must be hoping she changes her mind again. If the GE happens in the spring she'll definitely be leading them.

Exactly what I thought she would do. Leaving aside the ERG bellends the rest are shitting themselves at the prospect of her leading them into the next election. No one wants the Brexit hospital pass so they will let her crash and burn with it.

I am a bit niaive about political machinations, but could this whole vote-of-no-confidence thing have been orchestrated to get to 48 votes right at this time, to actually solidify her position. Her advisers may have realised that the party can't vote for a leadership challenge with so little time before March 29 - also knowing she then can't be challenged for 12 months.

Bit risky with this bunch of snakes, although the ERG did 'threaten' to release the names of the MPs who'd submitted the letters so there might be something to this.
