Moreno is a spastic, and the front six is a complete mess. Almost all of them are playing out of position. Play Coutinho as the ten behind Origi, Wijnaldum and Mane (the players that can run) and have the two midfielders best at defending behind him. Whoever they are.

Every time Lallana fucks up we are almost immediately in trouble defensively.

He needs to learn quickly that a mistake in a central midfield role is far more costly than up front.  I don't think he'll adapt, personally.  The midfield has been the root cause of our problems today,  Henderson trying to play covering midfielder and taking up all the wrong positions.  Lallana not being able to control and move the ball as the deeper role requires.  Wijnaldum passing to anyone but a LFC player.

 

Have to play the coutinho get of jail free card.

He's either GOT to bring Moreno off or bring a third centre back on.

 

Also, Firmino is constantly getting the ball with his back to goal. Arsenal's centre halves are just passing him off to the midfield. Need to get Origi on and test them with his pace and directness. Maybe go 2 up top, Mane and Origi if he goes 3 at the back.

Early days yet so I may be jumping the gun but I've yet to see any indication at all in that half or any of the friendlies that Wijnauldum knows how to play centre mid.

I've semi-defended Moreno (never said he was great, but my position has always been he's decent enough and fullbacks don't matter much) but I've changed my mind.

 

Shocking.  The final against Sevilla and then that first half.  He needs a good month or two on the bench and some serious work on the training ground.  The problem is that he might be that thick that there's no fixing his problems.
