He scored 11 goal for a shit newcastle team last season didnt he? How many of our players hit 11 goals last season?

My newcastle friends say he can go missing in games or not look arsed.  I'll wait to see if he does that for us before criticising him.

I feel good about this transfer. It's a lot like the Mane transfer in that it's a bit pricey, but he did stand out in a terrible Newcastle side, and the going rate for players in this market is heavily inflated...

Hopefully he can add some urgency, drive and goals from midfield.

We still lack a player that can control the tempo of a game, slow it down when needed... and an added bonus if he can tackle. Get it done committee.

Jürgen Klopp is delighted to have Georginio Wijnaldum on board at Liverpool

"I am so happy that we have got him and he can join us now in the USA.”

“I think he can be a great player for us. He has already shown some really good moments in his career but the most exciting and important thing for me and my staff is that there is still so much extra to come from him.

“When I talked to him I could tell that he knows we have to work together to get this level out of him to all be successful for the team.”

“He has played a lot for his country already, been captain at a young age in Holland and also been involved in a tough Premier League season so this experience gives him a good foundation for the challenge here - which everybody knows is huge!

“He can play a few positions for us and players that come through the Dutch system usually have a good tactical understanding and flexibility. That's really important.

“I can't wait to get him on the training pitch and for the fans to see him play in a Liverpool shirt."

I'm going to go right out on a limb here and say that he'll score more goals than the diminutive chicken loving Welshman.

Allen scored more goals last season than Can and Henderson combined, mostly coming off the bench. So unless those two up their game he'll need to

Wijnaldum has scored more than Allen, Can, Henderson and Lucas combined in his career so far. I reckon he'll be alright.
