Transfers summer 2016

Recommended Posts

Maybe Klopp is looking at his England midfielders as other fullback options, if push comes to shove? Milner on the left, Henderson on the right?

Or as others have said, maybe he rates Moreno more highly than most fans, and will work with him on his deficiencies?

Clyne and Moreno in pole position at fullback. Plus Randall, TAA, Gomez, and at a pinch, Klavan, Milner and Henderson. It's not ideal, not by a long way, but we are far from having no options. Still, it's obvious we need a left back.

So given the dearth of decent LB's all over Europe, and the fact we've got a few injured defenders and are testing Jimmy M at LB, just WTF are the transfer team and Klopp playing at?

After watching another messy display from captain pillowcase Moreno today, it will be the biggest fuck up in years not signing a 2nd LB.

I'm normally quite passive about who we sign as I prefer to see players that work hard rather than ones with big profiles, but I'm fairly fucked off at the minute (like a sad evertonian) that we're 2 wks away and woefully short in the area that cost us Silverware last season.

Criminal if it's not resolved.

Where's that from mate?

From the Echo

Reds boss has already suggested he will use midfielder James Milner as backup for Alberto Moreno at left back, while Nathaniel Clyne will have, for now, a combination of Andre Wisdom, Connor Randall and Trent Alexander-Arnold as his deputies – Randall could also depart on loan before the end of the transfer window, with Wigan interested.
