If/when the opposition starts doubling up on him, the pendul might swing back to Salah getting that extra space. We are just blessed at the moment with those two and we should embrace every moment of it. And if the opposition wants to cover them both then Firmino gets extra space, so we are definetly in a good place. Just wish Firmino was a bit more consistent in performances as he tends to be a bit unfocused in games here and there.

Imagine if we could add a decent attacking CM into the mix, would create  more space for our front 3, 1st half  of last season we had Coutinho and 2nd half we had Ox. Our midfield isnt good from an attacking point of view, maybe that plays a part in why Firmino and Salah aren't as good this season,  easier for opponents to mark knowing our midfield isn't upto much.

I think that's precisely what happened in the Anfield leg of the Munich tie .. 2 or 3 Munich players at all time squeezing Mane & Salah out-wide .. Keita fluffing pass after pass he was granted time and space to make with in the middle .. not seen a peep from him since. Salah might not be putting in greatest-of-all-time statistics like we was on course to up until about 10 games ago, but the way him and Mane play allows the whole operation to function.

We're on for 93 points, and quite possibly the European Cup semi final. There's not an "out of form" anything really - but people will always look for perfection.

I know - wasn't disagreeing - probably more so agreeing. Fans need to find things to talk about .. but really there's not very much. We're a functional machine achieving excellence. A lot less helter skelter because of it though - and thats what generates headlines.

40m for Hazard? You're in the clouds, they'll sign him for about 100m and it will be one of the first deals to get done. They'll have loads of money, they haven't spent in like 5 years.

 

The saving grace with Mane is that our asking price will be unreasonable.
