Beautiful goal that will instil his old confidence. I think we’re going to see a more fluid synergy between Sadio and Mo this season. That goal was against the best defence in the Prem. Superb.

Lovely run for the goal.

We scored twice and almost beat one of the most expensive teams ever arranged and scored twice,we are still unbeaten despite not playing too well and yet people are still complaining. It's like some want the Owl back and signings like Joe Cole and Konchesky.

And if I only watch the goals I could be fooled into believing he isn’t a shadow of the player he once was.

It probably is a confidence issue. It's probably not physical, he's playing as much football, running and trying as many things as he's always had, his decision making is just atrocious.

There's more to it than that. His touch has been awful. For me that's what happens as forward players get older and their body doesn't quite deliver what the brain is telling it to do. I think you see exactly the same with Bobby. They know what to do, but doing it at full speed in the power and emotion of a game and it just no long all connects often enough.

This is true but have to say, Sadio's form worries me. He looks miles off the pace and his touch is woeful in many recent games. But then he pops up and scores with a lovely touch against city and a few others so being critical then seems a bit churlish.

He'd have had no argument if he'd been hooked at half time, same as Jota and one or two others, yesterday.

Hopefully it's just a spell he's going through after the last couple of seasons taking it out of most players.

Four goals already this season though. I'd take a bit of sloppy play if he carried on scoring at this rate. Just imagine if we,or he,actually hit form. We were poor all round yesterday but that game last year was a 4-1 defeat.

Sadio in training at Kirkby along with Hendo and Milner according to the Echo.

Liverpool have been handed a major injury boost ahead of Saturday's Premier League showdown against Arsenal with three key players back in training.

Jordan Henderson, Sadio Mane and James Milner were all spotted being put through their paces at Kirkby on Tuesday ahead of the weekend visit of the Gunners.

Henderson was training separately having been released from the England squad over the weekend after suffering a minor issue following the 5-0 World Cup qualifying win over Albania at Wembley last Friday, a game in which the Reds skipper scored and provided an assist.

Milner was also working alone on the pitch as he steps up his rehabilitation from a hamstring problem that has ruled him out of Liverpool's last four games.

And Mane was able to take full part in the session having returned early from international duty with Senegal after being forced off after just 28 minutes of their match against Togo on Thursday with a rib injury.

There was, though, no sign of the hamstrung Naby Keita or calf injury victim Joe Gomez, while Curtis Jones, who was pictured in the gym earlier this week, was also not involved as he recovers from an eye problem sustained earlier this month.

And Liverpool are waiting on news regarding the fitness of Andy Robertson, who was forced off towards the end of Scotland's 2-0 win over Denmark on Monday with what appeared a hamstring issue.
