His finishing and decision making are very erratic, his first season here he was ice cold in front of goal, last season and this he made a lot of bad decisions in front of goal. Don’t get me wrong an absolutely fantastic player and a huge part of our brilliance but really think he could go up a level if he could improve on that.

I think he'll always be erratic as fuck. It's just the type of player he is.

We are better resting him as a preventative measure, all players are going to need a rest at some point. This part of the season is where City's squad hold a massive advantage.

Bad cut on the foot , so hopefully not a long-term thing.

 

Not been as striking in his play as last year but I think he has been our most potent weapon amongst the front three so far.

Sadly we all too often don't - our depth isn't all that - hopefully that will change and players will step up. Would be a real shitter after Sundays pulling points out the fire to go and drop points straight back because Robbo and Mane are out and we bring in dead bodies to replace them!

A dead body would be a better choice at left back than Moreno.

He's incredible.

 

His passing is sublime at times, his vision on a par with the top number 10's this division has known. 

 

When you consider that he can drop a shoulder and beat anyone for pace, and is brave as a lion (*shame face*), and gives 100% in every game, and also plays with a smile on his face, and does his defensive work, you have to ask just what sorcery is this, and how much he is actually worth.

 

40 goals in 91 games, from wide positions, is exceptional, it's Robben-esque numbers.

 

Part of me sometimes thinks that his true calling is through the middle, and that we should be looking for another left-sided player to replace him out there.  There's no reason he can't be a brilliant number 9, he's got that Eto'o style about him.

He’s our only forward player who actually goes past his man out wide any more and even he’s stopped doing it as often as he did.  It’s the main problem with our creativity.  We rely too much on our full backs to provide the width.  When you compare it to City who have their wingers hugging the touchline all game stretching teams it’s no wonder we are struggling to break teams down.  If Mane is out injured later I’m expecting another tedious nail biter that if we don’t score early in there will be problems we can’t solve.

Mane is one frustrating player. Bags of ability but is too nonchalant most of the time.

Nonchalant my arse.  He’s just not a clinical finisher. The rest of his game is top draw and there aren’t many I would swap him for.

There's a reason he is ranked as the best in his position in the world by ESPN. If he was clinical, he'd be worth 200m. That said, he's still young and I'm hopeful that'll come.

I don't think finishing is his main problem. It's his wastefulness in possession and often in good position. Sometimes he hangs on to the ball for too long and lose the ball.

 

Still our main man though. He's our main source of creativity.
