When does he ever have anything up his sleeve? If he was a drama, there'd be no plot twists.

Would there be a plot?

I would, of course, much rather see him as PM than Johnson or any other Tory. The talk of his terrorist supporting, Jew hating tendencies seem utterly ridiculous. None of that bollocks impacts the way I think. I just don’t think he’s very good at all. I have doubt that he can win an election, even against what to me seems just about the most hideous opponent leading the most  hideous government that has probably ever existed in the UK. If he doesn’t, I hope his supporters will finally admit that the experiment isn’t going to lead to anything other than a Tory government and Tory policies and will turn towards pragmatism rather than doubling down.

True. Nowadays it is determined but whatever bullshit can get all the headlines and go mainstream.

The BBC are one of the worst culprits for peddling the shit.

What I foresee as the main problem with a Tory Gov't with Johnson at the helm is the Transition period should he force his deal through. That will prove every bit as difficult as agreeing on a deal, even more so. I can't see anything being sorted in the 12 months set aside for this, you'll probably find that the option to extend for a further 12 months will most definitely be needed, and who knows how long in total that would take. Meanwhile in the background you'll have the Tories pushing all sorts of shit through.

I assumed the extensions really just were to kick it far enough in to the long grass that the public want for a second referendum grows and a sufficient amount of old cunts die.

No-one was actually going to negotiate a decent deal. It isn't possible.

You are aware that the ranks of old cunts are constantly being replenished?

Interested in what suggests to you that ' He isn't very good  ? ' , as I think in the circumstances he has far exceeded my expectations of him once ( as you cover ) the outright lies are disregarded.

I'm not saying he is perfect but with the hand he has been dealt I can't believe he hasn't given up by now yet his determination still shines through.

As for the election, it strikes me as being the most hard to analyse in recent memory with so many different facets to factor in. Labour's main positive to me is they have by far the best policies and four or five weeks press purdah to push them down the voting public's throats without the likes of the BBC being able to lie about them or misrepresent them. I have also been buoyed by how thick & useless Johnson appears with real people and under any sustained questioning.

Socialism or barbarism vote Labour don't be a cunt. Otherwise Mogg and Swinson will send your first-born to work up the chimney in austerity 2.0 and the sequels are always worse.

Can't wait for another 6 weeks of this witless shite.

I don't mind the Independent generally but it has a piece this morning by Denis MacShane telling Corbyn to resign for the good of the party & as well as ignoring the obvious ' How is running a leadership election during a general election a good thing ? ' I am surprised that in his short biopic at the top of the piece they omit the small fact that MacShane was thrown out of the party and jailed for 6 months for forging expenses claims in 2013. Obviously an oversight.
