I did a European political history A Level 1848 to 1918,  and one of the modules covered the Rothschilds and the influence they held over various Royal households in Europe. The module was very positive stating how brilliantly they had worked and the innovative methods used to establish this position of prominence, so I am a bit baffled that these days any mention of their work is met with screams of anti-semitism. They were fucking bankers surely they are meant to make money ?

I don’t get how calling people wealthy is an insult anyway.

Half my post got cut off. It was actually Trevor Phillips who said that, but nobody cared, because the reaction to things like this are in large part determined by who the person is, rather than what they're saying.

The Rothschilds did run banks and did hold a lot of power. Nowhere near to the extent that anti-semites will have you believe but there is still a lot of fact. Using it as a stick to beat jews is anti-semitic of course but simply denying it is stupid.

Interesting thread on the "Anyone But Corbyn" bastards illicitly knackering the 2017 campaign.

Banging on about this now might seem like I'm being sulky and a sore loser, but I'm convinced that a democratic Socialist government would have handled all aspects of the pandemic differently, saving thousands of lives.

As cunty as the highlighted part is, the more damning paragraph is the first.

Depends, doesn't it? Was it even a genuine offer? And who is it that he's supposed to be reaching out to? Because if it's people at HQ, and this is 2017, they've just spent the last two years actively working against him.

Sweet Jesus.

Incredible stuff, isn't it? Genuinely like something out of a comedy. He's like a character from The Office, or something.

In fact even if it's the PLP, the same applies.
