Someone's having a real laugh - shitcoat to Utd.

Klopp was also on record stating he wanted, and was more suited to take over at a club that was more in tune with the working class fan. Not sure about him not taking the United job, but clubs like Bayern, Real, Chelsea et all had no chance of landing him should they have tried.

Ive always had this impression of him myself. I think we fitted his mentality perfectly and Utd,Bayern and Chelsea are not his type of clubs. Klopp likes more of a work in progress type of job and puts the emphasis on getting the best from players rather than being ready made. Lewandowski,Reus,Gundogan et al seem to underline this philosophy. Reus was quite a big money signing by Dortmund from Gladbach(17 million, I think?) but was still considered raw talent. He was a youth player at Dortmund and Klopp admitted it was an expensive mistake to let him go.

In an era where £89m buys you a footballer as uninspiring as Paul Pogba, Klopp's the perfect choice for the club right now.

His philosophy on transfers probably isn't too different to FSG, though the motivations are obviously different.

True,  The way I look at it is that if Klopp had wanted the job at Utd or Chelsea for that matter then he wouldn't be working in Liverpool right now .

Mourinho charged again:

http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/37823125

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has been given a second Football Association charge in a week following his dismissal during Saturday's 0-0 draw with Burnley.

Mourinho, who on Thursday was charged over comments he made about referee Anthony Taylor, was sent to the Old Trafford stands by Mark Clattenburg.

He is accused of using abusive or insulting words to the officials in or around the tunnel area at half-time. He has until Friday to respond.

The FA have acted after considering Clattenburg's match report - possible punishments include a warning, fine, touchline ban or stadium ban.

Mourinho appeared to be upset when United were not awarded a penalty during Saturday's match, after Jon Flanagan challenged Matteo Darmian inside the Burnley box.

The 53-year-old emerged for the second half but was escorted to a seat in the stands before being moved a second time, this time to the directors' box. He declined to speak to the media after the match.

United are eighth in the Premier League and without a win in their past four games.

Mourinho, 53, had been given a deadline of 18:00 GMT on Monday to respond to the first charge, which was issued after the Portuguese said it would be "difficult" for Manchester-based official Taylor to referee United's game with Liverpool on 17 October.

Managers are not supposed to speak about referees prior to matches.

Mourinho was given a one-match stadium ban and fined £40,000 in November 2015 after the FA backed referee Jon Moss' claims that the then-Chelsea manager refused to leave the officials' changing room and verbally abused him and his colleagues at half-time of a defeat at West Ham.

Mourinho was also fined £50,000 for claiming that referees were afraid to award penalties against his side last season after the Blues were beaten 3-1 by Southampton in October.

At the time Mourinho was warned a similar incident over the next 12 months would result in an automatic stadium ban, but that sanction recently expired.

That can't be true surely!

Seems correct.

Their last goal was against Stoke.

So the starting point would be the previous goal by Carlton in the 42nd min of the Leicester game.

That would make the one goal in the last 4 and half games.

They had 37 shots against Burnley, so 54 shots in the other 3.5 games.

From what I can recall most of them were Carlton long range pot shots and Ibra missing sitters.

I think he's fucked.

For starters a lot of my mates who support Man U, didn't want him to start with.

He's spent a fortune and thus far they have regressed.

He can't say he is building something for the future when he gets someone like Ibrahimovic, who is very much a signing to deliver instantly. Mkhitaryan is 27, so another player to deliver now.  Then he bought Pogba to deliver instantly as well, given the size of the fee.  So he's bought badly.

Then you look at his brand of football.  It is no attractive on the eye.  It is fairly limited as well, as Gary Neville said the other day "the first goal is a killer". It is only a killer as his negative approach, means if they concede first then his game plan has gone to shit.

If you don't play attractive football, when you have spent a fortune - then you have to hope you win.  He's not done that either.

He needs to take the hand break off the team.  He needs to start playing their hopes for the future in Rashford, Martial etc.  Zlatan is not only a short term signing, he is stifling the attacking talent at the club.  Rashford looks a far bigger threat than Zlatan this season, he probably should be leading the line and giving opposition defences problems with his pace, energy and directness.  But instead they have Zlatan, who is not a counter attacking option, so when Mourinho plays his negative tactics against the better teams, they struggle to offer any threat.  But maybe he's scared to drop Zlatan or not play him in case he makes another ego unhappy at the club... he's already done that with Rooney.

They are a mess and Mourinho can really only blame himself.

For him personally should he leave.  He's running out of top clubs.  He could go back to Italy, but apart from Juventus, there isn't a top club there.  Can't see him at the Spanish clubs, unless Simeone left Atletico, but given he was Real manager they might not want him.  Can't see any options for him in the Premier League.  PSG might be his best bet.  But he really has to make this work at Man U, as I can't see many top clubs wanting him after his past.
