Someone's having a real laugh - shitcoat to Utd.

I'm not sure I'd call the players he inherited at Inter "scant resources".

Yes, in fact he inherited his perfect type of squad. Old, experienced, and cynical. The European Cup win was his second greatest achievement as a manager (after the Porto success), and a fucking brilliant achievement it was, excruciating as the football was, but he left that club in an absolute state with the average age of the squad about 72, and average wages about 2 billion a week. They still haven't recovered.

It's a really interesting challenge on FM 2012 (the one I play). Taking over in summer 2011 and having to remain competitive whilst de-Mourinhoing the squad.

In the dark days there was always a band of Liverpool supporters who wanted him to be more successful than Rafa. I remember a few people getting giddy when he did the treble with Inter. The same mentality that saw people happy when a late Diego Forlan goal denied us a place in the UEFA Cup final. "Hope we get beat" was real.

I find this very hard to actually believe. Mourinho was touted as a possible replacement for Rafa as his stock was high at that time, but most knew we were financially fucked and a cheap replacement was the only real option.

It's 100% true.  There were people who could barely hide their delight at that Forlan goal, and Mourinho always had his clique of followers talking about broken glass.  I remember it like it were yesterday.

“Anyone could do better” was a phrase used a lot towards the end of the Rafa era.

I am convinced people, while not happy to lose a game, found solace in the idea it put Benitez a step closer the sack.

I said 'relatively scant resources,' which they were in comparison to his teams before and after Inter, and also in comparison to some of the teams he beat (or strangled the life out of) on the run to the European Cup that year.

The cuts from the broken glass must be almost healed by this stage and he only has a small distance to crawl from Manchester

Never a Liverpool manager as long as he has a hole in his arse.

That is too short a timescale. It is possible some bizarre accident could lead to his arse being sown closed and the installation of a colostomy bag. Making it remote but still possible.

I’ll go with hole in my own arse as in the same circumstances I could refuse the surgery on the basis it would lead to Mourinho possibly being appointed Liverpool manager.

A fair compromise via a stoic, socialist gesture which certainly makes you more qualified for the post, Anny.

Nah, the Anti-Rafa Taliban was a big massive huge brilliant hilarious joke.

I know it's Metro quoting the Mail but this made me laugh.

Alexis Sanchez’s behaviour at Manchester United is causing concern among the coaching staff, reports say. The Chilean joined United from Arsenal in January, but has struggled to fit into Jose Mourinho’s side since his arrival. Ten appearances have yielded just the one goal from Sanchez and United staff are worried the forward’s attitude hints he regrets his January switch.

The Daily Mail claim Sanchez cuts an isolated, miserable figure at Carrington and often eats by himself in the canteen, away from his team-mates. Sanchez has developed a reputation as a withdrawn and often grumpy player among his new team-mates and there are fears he is increasingly isolating himself from his fellow Red Devils.

United have been alarmed by Sanchez’s slow start and his attitude has sparked concerns the goalscorer could become the next Angel Di Maria. Sanchez is the club’s highest earner and pockets £600,000 a week, with the wage packet reportedly one of the main reasons the former Gunner chose United over Manchester City. Mourinho demoted Sanchez to the bench for United’s FA Cup quarter-final victory over Brighton on Saturday after a woeful individual performance against Sevilla last week.

If I played for man utd I wouldn't want to have a meal with those cunts. But if I played for man utd I'd probably be a cunt anyway.

None of us would play for them regardless.

If somone had a gun pressed against the head of my daugther, my wife and my mother, theratening to kill all 3 of them if I diodn'y play for ManU. Then and only then would i use more than 2 seconds to reject.
