Good luck to Rodgers. It's a bit like a fighter taking an easy fight to get back the ring after getting battered. If he does well there it doesn't really prove anything in the grand scheme of things, as unfortunately winning the Scottish Prem is not what it once was. However, it will at least keep him in the game, and if things go well for him I can see a low to mid Prem team coming in for him again down the line.

I might be wide of the mark here/missing what is just a joke but it initially struck me on two fronts:

 

1. Liverpool and Glasgow are both working class cities scarred in places and tough, why are Glasgow's scars and toughness funny?

 

2. Comes across like when you hear out of towners slagging the tinned up houses/ empty buildings in Liverpool on their way to the match.
