Agree with this. I suspect Karius isn't good enough but nothing happened on Sunday which altered my opinion of him either way.

Agree also. We will find out if he's good enough between now and the end of the season anyway. Lets see how he performs with a run of games under his belt

I think most of the errors Karius makes are basic stuff would be easy to spot if you were his goalkeeping coach, same goes for Mignolet too. There is something rotten in the state of our goalkeeping coaching.

Reaction times mate. Look at them when they play, it is like they are waiting for a penalty to be taken, they don't look at the angle/feet of the player hitting the ball, they wait to see where the ball is going and then are a second late on their reaction to it, especially Karius. This is magnified by the fact they are normally behind long shots as they have more time to react, or when facing a close range header where reaction is just instinctive. Then you have to factor in that neither are confident in coming off their line for crosses to command the box. I agree that something is untoward in how they are being coached.

Having watched Karius tearing shit up in the Bundesliga for 18 months with Mainz I do think it's frightening just how he's regressed since he's been a Red.

Still far better than that Belgian pear nonce imo.

Lack of footwork, poor use of angles, narrowing angles(Karius could have nicked half a yard on Sane but stayed rooted to his line.) There are just too many faults to highlight to be honest.

This is on his Wiki Page

Karius became friends with Canadian singer Justin Bieber after meeting him while on holiday in Miami during the summer of 2015; the heavily tattooed Karius stated that: "we were in the same hotel, [bieber] admired my tattoos and I responded to it. He was cool. He promised to invite me to one of his concerts

He didn't end up going, he never saved his number.

Footwork and positioning are things a keeper picks up in his 20's playing professionally?

I get a hint of sarcasm here? Every 10 year old prospective goalkeeper should work on footwork and positioning in almost every session. Its why I have little confidence in Karius either, even though none of these basics were a problem at Mainz.

This is it for me. We've seen how Mignolet performs over what feels like an eternity. It's not nice. With Karius, he is starting at Mignolet's level and there's at least a possibility he may improve.
