Dortmund away leg

Recommended Posts

That'll do.  Parked the bus second half and killed the game succesfully with Dortmund not even creating all that much.

Will still need a lot of luck to go through here if next week plays out the same way.  Roll on the days when Klopp has us playing like the team in yellow and not plucky underdogs.

- Away goal

- Didn't lose

- Origi looking good

- None of the four on a suspension got a yellow

- No injuries (assuming Henderson's OK)

All in all, about as much as you could have realistically hoped for.  A win would have been absolutely brilliant, of course, and we had the chances, but I'm very satisfied with that.

Well, I predicted a score draw tonight. At face value we have a slight advantage with the away goal, but it's not really much of an advantage as they can come to Anfield and beat us.

It is game on. We rose to the occasion. They were good, as we knew they would be.

We can count ourselves a little unlucky that we didn't get a second goal, as that would have given us an advantage, but we can't have too many complaints.

1-1. Fair enough. Well played lads.

This is a cracking European tie.

Fair do's to the lads tonight.

Dug in, stifled them and created a fair bit.

A good effort and result.

Still gonna be hard as they will surely be better in next leg but can't fault us overall.

We do make a fucking unreal number of individual soft errors though - giving it away and losing the ball too often, rarely seen a team who have so many error prone players... we got away with a few tonight.

But they worked hard, and overall can't knock them tonight - could maybe have won it with more clinical finishing.
