It was a good game of football - intense, frenetic, high-paced.

When a game is played at that pace, the quality of the players is revealed more clearly as there is nowhere to hide, so quick thinking/movement/passing is required. There is no let up, and flaws are revealed more readily.

The truth is that it was evident that Spurs have quality all over the park, whereas we have it in patches.

I can't believe anyone would prefer a Spanish league game to that.

I remember Channel 4 bringing Italian footy to British shores in the 90s when it was widely regarded as the best league in Europe. It was as dull as ditch water. Chess in shorts.

I like later reflecting on the tactics as I like that side of the game, but you can't beat fast paced games for bringing what I love about footy to the fore.

Not really, Dier and Alli were pretty anonymous. Son was woeful. We managed to breach their back four time and again.

Not that we were better, mind. Sakho, Henderson, Can, and Milner were terrible. Lovren was easily man of the match despite getting done for the goal, and he isn't even that good a player.

Yep, totally agree with that. Their midfield was average at best (same as ours). It's a sorry state of affairs when that Spurs team is challenging for the title.

Regarding Lovren, I thought he was great. Obviously, questions will be asked about his defending for their goal but sometimes you've got to hand it to the goal scorer. Kane's finish was probably a 1 in 20 from where he was and how he received the ball. He's one instinctive cunt at the moment.

All in all, could have gone either way. I just hope they don't win the league. Painful cunts they are, it'd be like the Bitters winning it.
