Merseyside Police

Fucking sort yourselves out.

Walking past the away end before kick off and those horrible cunts are giving it all the murderers and Hillsborough songs under the sun. And they just stand there and watch.

The last 3 or 4 years I've been to Old Trafford I've seen people getting launched for giving it Munich gestures, and rightly so.

How much longer are we going to accept their entire away support and 80% of their home support singing about Hillsborough and Heysel.

Fucking horrible pricks.

I'm all for United fans being banned from Anfield until they learn not to sing these songs, but I'm not sure what the police are supposed to do unless a crime has been committed.

People at Old Trafford have been ejected from the ground for giving it the aeroplane gestures the last few years.

Walking in the ground there today and they are pointing at Liverpool fans behind a police corden and calling them murderers. They should be fucking banned entry.

Deter mongs from being mongs and inciting trouble. Same as the right wing mongs you have no problem with.

I am sure that Greater Manchester Police exceeding their legal powers cannot be a justification for Merseyside to do the same. If you can point to a specific law that is being broken, then the police would surely have to act, or explain their inaction.

The Football Offences Act 1991

Under the Football Offences Act 1991 there exists an offence of indecent or racialist chanting. For this offence to be proven the chanting has to have been either due to the race of one of the players or regarded as indecent.

Indecent Chanting

Proving whether a chant is in fact indecent is a much more difficult task than proving that a chant is racist. This is due to their being little definition of what is meant by indecent by the Act. Cases will have to be assessed on an individual basis and will depend fully on the individual facts of each case.

When looking at a high profile case from 2009 the judge stated that the following things should be taken into account when deciding whether chanting was offensive:

Whether decent members of the public found this offensive – this can be established from the reactions of the fans in the surrounding seats

Whether or not the coaching staff found this offensive – this can often be established if a club has made a formal complaint about the abuse suffered

It is immaterial whether the player in fact found the chanting offensive – footballers may regard being abused as part and parcel of the game, this however, should not detract from the fact that individuals should be punished

What is the likely punishment for an offence under the Football Offences Act?

It is unlikely that individuals will be punished with a prison sentence under the Football Offences Act with the more likely punishment being a civil penalty called afootball banning order.

In the case involving the indecent chanting the four men found guilty received a football banning order which applied to all football grounds in the country.

The police just want to shuttle everyone back home. I'm not their biggest fan, but I don't blame them for wanting everybody to just fuck off home, regardless of what the fans are changing.

All this shit has to be splashed across the media. There are murmurs tonight, by Saturday nobody will give a shit. It needs a journalist with free reign to run with it.

Possible s5 Public Order Act offence, or prevent a breach of the peace.

There were plenty of Merseyside's Finest at the FA Cup semi in 2012 when a kettled swarm of Bitters were doing exactly what the OP describes outside Wembley Central.

I wouldn't go as far as to say they were enjoying it, but the smug grins and Cheshire accents did make me reflect on the defects in character that would compel a person to become one of 'those people'.

Police officers: born, not made

There was a moment in the first half tonight that just showed their protestations up for what they are, after we sang 'Fergie's right, your fans are shite' and they responded with 'The Sun was right, you're murderers' and then without missing a beat 'always the victim.' I thought that one wasn't about Hillsborough?

Yeah, something has to be done. I've already made the decision never to step inside their ground again after our league match there this season. Horrible cunts kicking off on kids, being called a 'scouse cunt' by a bizzie after pointing out some rats singing 'Murderers' a few feet away while heading back to the coach. I was close to the partition that game, seeing those cunts giving it the face crushing gestures and goading our knobhead element with aeroplane actions, and there was a moment in the game I thought to myself 'what the fuck am I doing here?'

Fuck them. Cut their allocation to the bare minimum and adopt a zero tolerance policy. Ban them, if possible. Cunt club. Cunt support.

Luke Atkins ·

Kill your own and don't take responsibility for it yourself that's what you'll get! If 5000 weren't there without tickets it would've never happened and INNOCENT people wouldn't have died true fact, coppers were dammed if they do and dammed if they don't!

I'm sure we all wish him well.

The crime is the FA, press, UEFA not bringing it up and shaming the cunts. It should be a headline and it gets no publicity.

Every 'fan' that gets chucked out is a martyr, get the Glazers on TV to defend it or ask Bobby Charlton why it's happening.

Shame them, it's the only way. Embarrass them, isolate the hard core and let them police it themselves.

Imagine MOTD highlighting it, or someone asking Scholes or Ferdinand tonight?

Interesting.
