Quote mining, dishonesty, misquoting (deliberate) the list goes on.

Greenwald says he hasn't quote-mined and I'm assuming you are on about Sam Harris. If Harris himself says its okay to profile and torture Muslims then how can any small part of any other article be quote mined out of context?

oh that's ok then, if he says he's not done it.

have you read/listened to the stuff yourself or are you relying on 2nd hand evidence? The profiling one is a joke, would you search Seinfeld?

Here y'go, Rico - something to give you a giggle.

http://blogs.spectator.co.uk/2014/08/richard-dawkins-doesnt-get-it-religion-is-rational/

Apparently, Richard Dawkins is wrong to criticise religion as "irrational" and to claim mainstream religion legitimises violent extremism.

In the first place the most stringent criticisms of the abuses of religion are by its mainstream members....

The second, more fundamental point is that religion is not inherently anti-rationalist...

In the third place, there is a natural association between religion in general, and Christianity in particular, and moral goodness....

"We should profile Muslims, or anyone who looks like he or she could conceivably be Muslim, and we should be honest about it."

"But there are people who do not stand a chance of being jihadists, and TSA screeners can know this at a glance."

So im confused at what Harris said. You should profile Muslim looking people, but because screeners are that good you don't need to profile people. At all.

Anyways this is getting way off topic. I'll stop right there and pop over and stare at the female goodness of CD et al picture collection on the Summer Tits thread.

It's perfectly clear what he's saying, the podcast I linked couldn't be clearer. If you chose to make it more complicated that's your lookout.

Quetzalcoatlus though, 12 metre wingspan, awesome.

Anyway there's been loads of pages of non believers debating the nature of religion on this thread. Atheists. We care more about religion than the religious. Round of applause for us.

nah he's a bit gay
