Daniel Sturridge - 2020

Recommended Posts

3 Stacks’ contract year observation would usually be a fair shout, but on this occasion that variable will be more of a litmus test for the heritage is his body fucked or is it his attitude question.

Even the standard increased incentive a player has to attract a new contract in their final year can’t override a shattered body. The more serious pre-season workouts are going to threaten his physical threshold, let alone when the serious stuff starts.

It will just be the same season all over again. I really can't believe some of the people on social media who seem to think he's useful. Someone even posted on Twatter today that we could get 35m for him!

At least this will be the last season he will be here. He's basically been paid 150 grand a week for the last 4 years and played in about 30 per cent of the games. Should go to the MLS once his contract runs down.

It beggars belief that yet again Klopp is falling down the can get a tune out of Sturridge hole.

He'll appear in a few games up until about the beginning of October and contribute nothing of note before his first injury of season...then he'll come back and struggle for minutes until he has his annual December holiday, he's been injured every December since 2012....every fucking season since Dec 2012 - an absolutely staggering rexord...... before returning and being barely seen before he leaves at the end of the season.

Just jib him and get someone who can actually be relied on when needed...this joker will go missing when needed yet again.

His December injury record.

Nov 20th 2012 - Dec 27th 2012 - Hamstring

Nov 27th 2013 - Jan 8th 2014 - Ankle

Nov 18th 2014 - Jan 28th 2015 - Hamstring

Dec 7th 2015 - Jan 17th 2016 - Hamstring

Nov 23rd 2016 - Dec 18th 2016 - Calf

Dec 8th 2017 - Jan 28th 2018 - Unknown Injury.

I reckon he is Santa.

Yeah, dead easy. Jib him off.

Maybe no one will touch him. So Klopp is buttering him up to get some sort of tune out of him because we’re stuck with him. Doesn’t really beggar belief to me.

You can't get a decent tune out of a guitar with broken strings.

He's a waste of squad space that we can't afford to carry.

What do you want Klopp to come out and say? Sturridge has a contract and we have to pay that. If no one else wants him, and why would they, we’re stuck with him. So he may as well try and get a tune out of him. I just think comments like “It beggars belief that yet again Klopp is falling down the can get a tune out of Sturridge hole“ are fucking stupid. Someone may well be stupid enough to take him off us, But to be critical of Klopp for trying to put a

positive spin on it, maybe even to alert other clubs, is ridiculous.
