8 points off the top. Most tough away games already played. It feels almost like anything could happen.

I think the next step in our evolution under Klopp is we need to learn to be flat track bullies and boss teams at home. I think we have clever players who can play between the lines against the better teams, as we saw today, but I think we need a bit more width and pace to turn us into flat track bullies, as teams will sit deep against us and hope to pick up some rewards on the break, as Palace showed. Sane in January would be a good signing.

I thought that's why Benteke was bought, to bulldoze the shitter teams at home, we need to find a way of playing against teams that sit back and don't want to play, we that happens we'll be a force.

It was men vs boys today.

Liverpool were faster, more determined, and clinical.

I'd like to say City just didn't turn up, but in truth, they couldn't handle the speed of Liverpool's play.

It was reminiscent of Dortmund battering us in the CL a few years ago.

I thought Aguero's goal was a beauty, but too little too late.

Well played Liverpool - we had our arses kicked today, and got everything we deserved (as did LIverpool)

No disrespect mate and I'm genuinely not being a prick because you're a good poster and knowledgeable and I'm sure you've already answered this but why come on here? Especially when your team just got battered at home, what makes you think I'll go on TLW and post about it?

Milner looks so gassed from running around like a headless chicken that by the time the ball arrives he's too tired to have a consistent first touch or passing accuracy. Even if he played as a striker, he'd end up chasing back covering the full back. He filled in for Clyne a lot today and helped shut down Kolarov and Sterling. The solidity and covering was missed against Palace. That said, having Henderson in his spot will be a massive improvement.

Forgot all about Henderson, which says a lot about what Klopp's achieved with an injury-hit squad.

The kid can run all day. He'll bring gegenpressing to absolutely pornographic levels.

That was an incredible performance.I know they were missing Kompany Silva but we were missing our captain,Dannyboy,Sakho and Benteke for 60 minutes

If we can add some more width & pace to young Ibe in midfield to help us at home in summer and a goalie who can kick a ball.We could be ready for the unthinkable next season

*i know that your thinking about...... this league is crazy and rather shite so what if we buy well in January?

Can we put it on back burner and discuss this on New Year's Day if it's applicable please.....I'm already too excited after Jurgens first few games thank you very much!

Judging by the Blue Moon post-match thread we'll be getting a bid for Klopp in the summer....

They're definitely not on board with Pellegrini are they?  If it wasn't for them crowing all summer about Sterling I might have some sympathy.  As it is, fuck 'em.

Joe Hart might have saved Pellegrini's job yesterday.  Do you think he would still be City's manager this morning if we'd have buttfucked them 6,7 or 8-1 at home ?  I lost count of the 1 on 1 saves he pulled off.  For a bit more nous with his finishing, Firmino would have had a hat trick as bare minimum.

Fucking great win, superb performance from all of the players. The pressing all over the pitch was superb and the passing in the first half was excellent.

The transformation between the utter shit that Rodgers had the team playing to now is unbelievable.

As someone said earlier, it's amazing what a coach how knows how to win, who is world class and the players believe in makes.

Delighted and now I gonna get smashed.

And many said we couldnt attract a top manager.

Makes you wonder why we persisted with losers like the hodge and rodge for so long banging our head against a brick wall, the manager is the most important person Ive been on repeat since we sacked rafa arguing with idiots of the futility of persisting you can have the best team in the league but if your manager is shit the team will be shit, look at leciester and chelski right now, ok joses not shit but hes lost the plot and we can see what a difference it makes even with the one of the shittest teams its possible to do anything with the best manager.

You can look at every team in the league player for player and its hard to predict but if you look at the managers in charge you can pretty much pick out where everyone will finish most the time.

Dennis Tooth turned into Catch-22 so gradually, I didn't even realise it.

First game I've watched in the pub with my mates in ages. Turns out its a much more enjoyable way to watch football.

And that last goal from skrtel was the first time I've leapt out of my seat in a long time.

Great performance and might have just kick started my enjoyment of football again.

Good to see sterling do absolutely fuck all too

Yup. I know it's petty, but it's football, I'm allowed to be petty.

All the articles leading up to the game were about how it was the right move for him, he's learning so much more by training and playing with better players, etc.

Raheem, I can promise you this, in your career, you will never play with someone as good as Luis Suarez or Steven Gerrard, and Liverpool gave you that opportunity, so have some fucking respect.
