I notice it wasn’t the Inman doing the killing then getting shot by the police. He’s too wise and concerned with self preservation. They rely on impressionable kids to carry out the slaughter knowing full well they will be killed. Apparently one of the London terrorists arrested last year whilst planning an attack had a list of what he was going to do on his first day in heaven, it was literally “visit my new house, shag a virgin, eat a massive feast, shag another virgin” etc. These kids are underachieving brainwashed idiots and that makes them very hard to deradicalise.

No they aren’t. They are generally university graduates and generally professionals.  Don’t fall for that narrative.

I certainly think "fuck them" but this is just going to incite more violence.

So they win?  They live in France, there are no blasphemy laws there.  The people doing the murdering over cartoons are in the wrong.  If you pander to the mentalists then we’re all fucked.

I agree in principle. I just wouldn't want my name on the list of people who organised it.

Mate I agree but with everything going on now is it worth it? There is publishing things without restrictions and then there is outright antagonising.

I agree, why stoke the flames? We get upset over things said on a football forum but seem to think the people who worship and practice a religion should simply shrug and turn a blind eye when people make grotesque images against their gods. Why not just leave them be? Whatever faith and whatever religion, just leave them alone.

I don't actually think we are that far off our first forum beheading.

It’s a fundamental cornerstone of society. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean you can kill people.  I find it astonishing that anyone is willing to create a special category out of fear.

What if Nazis decide that anyone taking the piss out of Hitler deserves to die?

Im not on about publishing things in a relevant article etc but beaming cartoons up on the wall just to antagonise.

It’s not to antagonise. It’s to show how fucking stupid it is to defend anyone murdering over a cartoon. The message is ‘this is France’.

Why is it nonsense,People have practiced religion since year dot and will continue till year black. Why not let then be?

To be clear from the out set, I'm not attacking. I fully agree that letting everyone believe in what they want to is the very definition of living in a free society. However, people believing in stuff that they then expect everyone else to adhere to with the threat of deadly force if they don't adhere, is absolutely against that same definition of living in a free society.

We can't let the tail wag the dog. Free speech is the corner stone of all free societies and we can't let extremists dictate to the rest of us.

Also, given all religious believers believe in the absolute absurd, and extremists really fucking believe it to the extent they want to harm you if you disagree, it makes it all the more galling to have to "respect" their "feelings".

Let them practice it themselves and leave the rest of us out of it.
