Berahino would be a shrewd buy. Obviously there's some sort of fall out with Pulis - he didn't get his move to Spurs, is probably not happy about that, and Pulis is spending his time putting the player 'in his place' and ensuring a lose-lose.

West Brom have said they won't deal with Spurs after their disruptive, eleventh hour approach in summer. Perhaps we can profit from this?

Berahino is fast. Knows where the net is. Athletic. Good movement. Good age - already a good player, but can become better. The one thing I'm not sure about is mentality. Since he didn't get his move to Spurs he hasn't really done anything at West Brom. Is that down to the player sulking? Or is it down to Pulis asserting his authority, and/or preferring to go with yard dogs for his Stoke Mark 2 team?

Berahino has qualities but his price is much too high relative to his output. He's scored about a goal in 4 in his West Brom career so if you're spending 20mill or whatever you're gambling he will considerably improve his record. He also has a bit of an iffy attitude

I'd avoid Berahino. Im sure Klopp and the scout team could find someone of similar qualities and age in France or Germany or wherever for a smaller price. There is almost zero value to be found when buying in the Premier League and the club needs to learn this.

Can people please stop championing the signing of nailed-on mediocrites with trite phrases such as 'we've had worse' or 'he can improve on time on his side' or myriad other nuggets of shit.

We're meant to be, or at least aspire to be, a top class football club; not a reformatory for the painfully average and professionally challenged.

Can Sane (Schalke) play up front?

I think he would be a great addition for us - a faster and more athletic upgrade on Lallana, with more of a goal threat. I see him as a wide forward, but for the more enlightened on here, does he have it in his locker to play more centrally up front?

If we need a striker, which we do, buy a striker.

I'm not saying don't buy this lad as well, but if we start next season with a 19 year old wide forward as our number nine then people at the club should be shot.

Now if only that can be tattooed onto the foreheads of Mike Gordon and his transfer committee.
