I'd sell Benteke to Chelsea if that rumour is true. The lad doesn't fit in here and looks to be a fair weather player.

Give me some South American with the mentality of a Tevez or Suarez please.

It's a lie from a Sunday rag. I think they'll probably get Simeone in the summer and he'll bring Griezmann and we'll do a cry.

Benteke to Chelsea in exchange for Matic.

Batshuayi is the Belgian striker we need to partner Origi.

Timo Horn if we can't attract Ter Stegen.

This doesn't solve everything, but it starts to address the spine, which is seriously lacking at the moment.

Batshuayi is overrated. Massively.

Just had a terrible game again against Bordeaux. I know he's scored quite a few goals but even Marseille fans are starting to turn against him. The guy plays for himself, incredibly selfish and tend to be shite when he doesn't score. He's no better than Benteke.

Two dominant, bullying centre halves and a goalscorer would be a good start. Others might say a goalkeeper, midfielder or a pair of wingers. Nobody would be wrong.

Problem is, there's not enough difference in quality and application between Henderson/Lucas and Colback/Glen Whelan, Benteke and Gomis, Sakho/Skrtel and Huth/Williams, any of our goalkeepers and a bag of sand. Delusion to think otherwise.

A similar season to two years ago in that most teams better than us have been awful. No Suarez, Gerrard, Sturridge or even Sterling this time around though.

It's finally hitting home for some how much the previous clueless twat in charge has set Us back. Far worse than that other shit stain Hodgson. Both of whom should never have been associated with this Club.

People are underestimating how totally fucking shit the rest of the transfer committee were over the same period, and they are all still here, creaming themselves over fucking Excel.

Spot on,that fucking car salesman spent hundreds of millions of pounds and I can't think of a player, maybe Countino, who improved on what he'd already got.

We've been generally awful in the transfer market since 2008 onwards, the last two years of Rafa's time here.

Hodgson probably spent less overall than what a Lazar Markovic cost. A good thing, all considered.

With the huge exception of whatever involvement he had in Suarez, Kenny bought very badly, and Rodgers brought it to a lower level again.

The problem now is that we've no leaders left. Nobody. Even through years of bad signings and the collateral damage of in-fighting and buck passing over transfer responsibilities, we still had a few of Reina, Hyypia, Carragher, Hamann, Alonso, Kuyt, Suarez and Gerrard.

I'd love to see Klopp start angling to bin the committee.

We need to recognise the way this league is going, and start buying some pace and power and balls.

We lack it in every aspect of our play.

Also deal in the here and now, not 3 years resale value.

The legacy merch money will start to run very thin soon.

We have squandered so much its fucking criminal.

No more £25 million "punts" on pale young boys Jurgen.

Mahrez and Vardy combined didn't even cost a million for fuck sake.

We have been SLEEPWALKING!!

This strategy is borked with shit scouting because not enough players 'come good' and the few that do have to be sold to fund the next round of spending.
