January Transfer Window 2016

It's going to be an exciting 6 weeks as we see who Klopp rates and who he doesn't. I'm starting to think that Klopp would sell Origi in January if a good enough offer came in. Even with injuries to Ings and Sturridge he hasn't gotten a look in.

Doesn't look good for Allen so far either with only 8 minutes in the league since Klopp came, away at Spurs. Unused sub the last 5 matches.

I think he's safe this January, unless we buy first.

We won't be in a position where we sell players in order to bring in replacements, because things don't always fall into place.

But certainly Allen, Mignolet's and Origi's days seem numbered, be it this January or next summer.

I'd be ecstatic to see Aubameyang and Neves brought in, though I'd think carefully about a sweeper-keeper to replace Mignolet and unless we get Lloris (which we won't) I think we'd also be shopping abroad for a goalkeeper.

Also think we'll be shopping for a winger or two, because it's obvious that Klopp likes Ibe and his style of play, and he's basically the ONLY winger we've got.

-Vitolo at Sevilla looks decent.

-Andre Ayew continues to impress at Swansea, but can't see them selling so soon after bringing him in.

-Felipe Anderson at Lazio looks impressive, and would be mouthwatering to see him, Coutinho and Firmino behind a striker.

-Karim Bellarabi of Leverkusen is on the German national team radar, first cap this year, so Klopp will be aware of him.

-Patrick Herrmann at Moenchengladbach is another with a recent call-up.

-Kevin Volland has started the season well at Hoffenheim.

-Anwar El Ghazi been great for Ajax.

-Hakim Ziyech at FC Twente also been great this season.

-Dimitri Payet at West Ham, fucking class.

Problem is getting the right personality in, as Klopp said, "there are some great mothers out there with great sons, playing for smaller clubs".

You look at someone like Pedro for Chelsea, the shit cunt. Stats galore, but the world is a dark, scary place once you stop playing for Barca or Real. Suddenly refs don't give you everything, suddenly full backs aren't scared of closing you down, suddenly you realise you're 5 foot 4 and everyone else is bigger and faster than you, and you just haven't got the bollocks or the skill to find a way to overcome.

I'm not expecting much cash to be splashed in January. I think Jurgen will take his time to evaluate the squad before trying to buy in the summer by which time hopefully we'll be back in the CL and be able to attract real quality.

I reckon he'll look for an experienced full back who can play either side and maybe a forward on loan.

Purely a gut feeling (excessive optimism) but I feel we will buy a world class, (expensive), player in January. Could be the difference between fifth and fourth* and Klopp will have already sold/demanded that to the owners.

I like Moreno and i'm happy to see him get on a bit but I bet we could take £20m off Madrid and buy a fucking class german left back.

Are there actually any class German left backs out there atm? Seem to be a problematic position for them given they've played a centre-back in Howedes there for some time and even Can more recently. Hector could be the one to seal that position but even he is right footed, which makes him an unlikely left-back signing for us as Klopp clearly relies on full-backs to provide the width rather than out-and-out wingers.
