A good manager can master having a balanced team, or a defensively solid team or an attacking team, a great manager can master all three of those.

 

I would say ferguson managed to master two of those but theyre defence was rarely good enough to do as well in europe as they should have although once or twice he got that right.

The likes of keegan, pulis and say hodgson could master one of those and id put Rodgers in the same camp, whenever he tried to play as slower balanced game or a defensive game as required he failed without exception and these managers Ive lumped him in with didnt win anything either. Ive no idea why lots of people missed that from day one with rodgers goals clouded the judgement. 

Klopp as a manager has to improve on the attack side in terms of teams who play like palace who play our own game and maybe the balance part as well but he is still strong in those areas from experience the mentality is right thanks to him now we can go places and we know he is a winner so everything takes care of itself on the pitch now. I hope blind faith can die now we have the real deal we can do away with it as we return to science, winners win.
