Sopranos or Game of thrones?

GoT, quite easily. I love The Sopranos, having watched it through a good 5 times, but people overlook a lot of shit in that because of the charm. The Shield is also massively overrated on here, second only to The Wire as the most overrated show in history. Not ‘bad’, just way overhyped.

The wire is brilliant. Shields behind it but still very good. All my opinion of course

You should, mate. I think you’ll like it.

One show that gets nowhere near enough love here is Six Feet Under. It’s excellent.

No doubt I'll get onto it one day. So many I haven't watched.

I've not watched The Sopranos or Game of Thrones, and have no intention of doing so.

At the end of the day it is all down to personal tastes mate. These Mafia type films/series have never really done it for me. I can watch them but prefer other genres more. The Sopranos is 7 series long, so as I said above, I'll probably get onto it eventually but there is so much more I want to watch/give a chance first.

Yeah, you're right, it is. I'm not really into Mafia related stuff, so tend to give most of it a miss. I can't see the point of wasting time watching something that I know I'm very unlikely to enjoy.

I agree with you on The Shield. The Wire is still magnificent for me. I understand that it's a cop show though and that might put people off or feel too familiar.

I liked The Wire and think it's good, just very overrated. For me, it's not even close to being the best show ever. Not on any grounds. Not the writing, the characters, the dialogue, the story, none of it is the best in class in my view. If it wasn't talked about as much, I'd probably just ignore the show. Like, if it was rate the same as The Shield, which is also good but not an elite level, I'd just be like 'yeah, good show'.

GOT thrones is based off the War of the Roses for the most part. Most of the major characters are based of historical people.

The Red Wedding of a few events of British history and The Kojiki.

The Lord of the Rings was made so Tolkien had a place for language as much as anything else. The man wrote languages for all the main races.
