I get the impression he's going to reach new heights this season.

Fitness is massive for him, I don't think he's actually ever been fit before and refused to push himself too hard in games. Always heard that rumour of a heart murmur or something similar, and if true, I wonder if that affected him mentally, so he never trained as hard as he could or run as hard as he could in games.

He was diagnosed with an irregular heart beat, but I'm sure he had surgery to correct it.

At least we have it confirmed he has a heart then, the jury is definitely out on more than a few others.

I've thought of a song for Lallana.

Listening to absolute radio the other day and they played Ocean Colour Scene " the day we caught the train ".

The chorus is perfect.

" oh oh Lallana, oh oh lallana"

Nah. Far too complicated.

That's the best he's played for us so far in the deeper role. Lovely finish too. A big criticism is that he overplays it at times, but that finish was hit sweetly, first time, into the top corner. Lovely.

What a strike for his goal. Fair play. Doesn't do it often enough though. Working very hard so credit where credit is due. The cruyff turning tampon.

Thought he was very good yesterday. He seems to be taking a lot more responsibility in the team now and was a lot more disciplined in his play. There was a moment in the 2nd half when multiple migs was fannying around and Lallana gave him a bollocking telling him to get the ball up the fucking pitch. He gets at least one (good) goal scoring chance per game and if we can get him to be a 1 in 3 scorer we'll have a player on our hands.

Anyway, I like him

You came across as a bit Ray Wilkins in that post.

2 in 4 in the league for him, early days but just what people have been calling for from him for the last few seasons.

Same for Firmino and Coutinho and 2 in 3 for Mane.

If they all keep that up we'll be sweet. Especially if Sturridge and/or Origi get going too.
