Declaring war on Rodgers

I assume most of the people who were 'slapping you down' probably didn't think we'd replace Suarez with Lambert and Balotelli.

I'm sorry but when we were smashing teams week in week out on our way to what I felt was going to be one of the most glorious league titles in history, after having finished 7th the season before, I didn't have a lot of time for negativity. This idea that calling Rodgers' demise early gives you some sort of superiority is nonsense. The fact that he's fucked it up doesn't mean he didn't do some things right and we weren't fucking awesome.

Some on here were saying what a great roller coaster of a ride it was , shipping all those goals but scoring one more courtesy of Suarez for the mist part, you can't win fuck all with GD like that and it hasn't been addressed. The look on Suarez 's face as he turned to the bench , v Norwich, said it all , he knew he was playing with shite and probably confirmed his desire to leave. The GD this season doesn't bode well and I've lost all faithand dont believe anything resembling past glories will come back , playing on a name now. Rodgers quoting club traditions and what it means to manage a club such as LFC is bollocks and yes proved now that he can't get right and not up to it , but its hard to say when he should go , leave it too late and that could well prove disastrous if we slip down the table which is quite possible by looking at recent performances. Fuckin' hope it doesn't come to that but I think its too late now and I'm afraid we'll have to make do with being an above average club for the foreseeable with players joining then moving on as soon as something better comes in. Its fuckin' sickening and heartbreaking how its come to this and so someone in the end has to take the rap and that can only be Rodgers. Incidentally 2005CL was won by hard graft and Rafa getting what he could out of a side that had its fair share of not so good players , I don't see any today that would fit that bill. Bitter and twisted.

How many times have we heard the word 'disgrace' uttered in connection with a Liverpool performance in the last 12 months?

13 Sep PL - (H) Lost 0-1 to Villa

20 Sep PL - (A) Lost 1-3 to West Ham

19 Oct PL - (A) Won 3-2 vs QPR, with two of our goals being og's, and throwing the game away in the 87th and 93rd minute

25 Oct PL - (H) Drew 0-0 with Hull

23 Nov PL - (A) Lost 1-3 to Palace despite taking the lead after two minutes

6 Dec PL - (H) Drew 0-0 with a shocking Sunderland

14 Dec PL - (A) Lost 0-3 to United

1 Jan PL - (H) Drew 2-2 with Leicester, thanks to two Gerrard pens

22 Mar PL - (H) Lost 1-2 to United at Anfield, Gerrard red card but already a goal down by then

4 Apr PL - (A) Lost 1-4 to Arsenal, a Henderson pen in reply.

28 Apr PL - (A) Lost 0-1 to Hull

16 May PL - (H) Lost 1-3 to Palace at Anfield

24 May PL - (A) Lost 1-6 to Stoke

Factor in the 2-2 draw with Boro on 23 Sep at Anfield, and losing a semi final of the league cup with a 94th minute goal from Ivanovic at Chelsea, and AFC Wimbeldon taking us to 1-1 in the FA Cup on 5 Jan, and the 0-0 with Bolton on 24 Jan in the FA Cup, and the two games against Blackburn in the quarter finals, and the loss to Villa in the semi finals at Wembley, and the one win from six game in the CL, and the spineless showing against Besiktas in the Europa League...

And you really think I've got a screw lose?

Fucking Lallana.

Adam Lallana?

Danny Ings?

How the fuck has this happened, what the fuck was I doing when I wasn't offended by these players being bought?

It really hit home on Saturday when Danny Ings was on the ball and an infographic came up saying 'Danny Ings - Liverpool'. It hit me like a ton of shit-eating adders, that we've become totally shit.

You get the impression if we got another top manager in and he gets us to cup finals he will get promptly sacked for winning trophies or defending his players or whatever they decide to do with such people with winning mentality theyve all been chased out the club owners no one is bigger than john henry and if the fans are behind you you are a threat to be dealt wit.

Very true. I was using a more generic term. But the overall point I was making was that the skills that made him a lot of money (timing, being decisive, good decisions) are not being employed at Liverpool at the moment.

The skills that have made him alot of money are evident in every part of the transaction buying the club and the subsequent decisions.

I agree with the last bit, personally I don't take any kudos for having a negative opinion early on, but likewise I never understood the aggression with which all negative discussion was shut down.

'Our defence is shit and we've got no DM'

Yeah but we're second

'Our defence is shit and we've got no DM'

Yeah but we were second last year

'Our defence is shit and we've got no DM'

Yeah it's easy to say now but you weren't saying that when we were destroying teams.

'Actually I was, but was getting called a shithouse for it'.

Very different markets, but I'd say what he's done in commodities is even more difficult than setting up a company in equities. I agree with you that he has every attribute needed to succeed in football as well, but I believe he might see things from a different perspective than us supporters. He's not relying on us for financial support any more. The big, big cash flow is the Premier League. As long as we don't go down everything is gravy from his/their perspective.

On the other hand: FSG is down with spending on players so you'd think they wanted better investments there, regardless of how much money they're making.

I seriously doubt he's turned into a passionate football supporter  ;)

On another note, I don't see much point in the forum members turning on each other to claim superiority in a competition called, "I was fastest to see Rodgers was a wrong'un."

It's like everything else - some people are early adopters, most are in the middle, and some are late adopters.

What is clear at this point is that there is unanimity (or as near as possible with such a large fanbase) that there needs to be a managerial change. Hopefully the owners are working on it.

Your just on the rebound going after jose with your willy out now.

How come you like brenda for his style of play and philosophy (this is football mate not john paul sartre) not trophies, so youd happily have supported rodgers winning fuck all so long as we played like newcastle but now you would like to watch joses turgid brand of shithouse footy for the trophies?

Youre a bit like a retarded kid on a bull in a sweetshop tat also specialises in fine china, i want rodgers gone and fsg gone and i want them to take you and mario with them becuase you are all jokers who have no clue what lfc is and as a supporter/owner/player/manager you are all fucking this great club up turning the image of the liverpool fc into what can only be described as a dogs dick on a wedding cake.

I would accept Mourinhos style of football as he is arguably the best manager in the world and a guarenntee of getting the club to compete at the very top in Europe. I have not said I want BR out yet, I said if this shit on a stick football continues with poor results then I will change my mind.

I don't know what kind of fanbase you want, the club likes fans like me who stay loyal and they try to promote that, YNWA etc.Fans who are going apeshit after a bad result and are asking for people to be sacked are cut off on phone ins etc and their views not considered.Ive seen Everton games on TV and their fans seem like proper cunts who want an excuse to moan and do so at any opportunity, maybe you should go there and experience it as that seems like your dream for the LFC fanbase.

No one minute you just want good eyepleasing football the next you want bad footy that wins stuff, im only asking fer a bit o consistency, you are as consistent as rodgers and need to go with him your eggs are in his basket case.

I would be more patient with a manger who try's to play attacking football then I would be with one who plays defensive, it's harder to be successful playing that way. That doesn't apply to BR anyway when I think about it because I would still have stayed behind a defensive manager if he had got us as close to the title as BR.

Let me be the first to say that I always knew Gary Monk was the wrong choice and would never make the step up.

Rodgers has to go. He had to go in the summer, he has to go now.

if FSG balls up the next appointment then they have to go with him because they've got every decision wrong on the footballing side for too long.

Rodgers hasn't played any real attacking football in the last 12 months anyway.
