This match is irrelevant

It will be like watching two fat oul ones fighting over a bag of chips

Best thing for the club would be a heavy defeat followed by Brendan's P45

how in gods name can you as a so called supporter hope for a defeat... get lost ..in the mersey...

I think this will be a repeat of last season. United being completely shite but still managing to stick 3 or 4 past us. And this time we don't even have Sterling to cause them any problems like we did last season. And no Coutinho or Henderson. I really used to look forward to this fixture, we've had some epic wins and performances away to the mancs but this one I just want to get it over with and on to the next game.

Sad but true.

I wish we were good.

I really do.  It would be the perfect game to curb-stomp them.  They are struggling badly, after another summer of huge spending, and really aren't very good.  Rumours of mutiny, new players failing to bed in, etc.  If we went in there and beat them 0-2 or 0-3 the whole narrative of their season would change.  It would start to snowball in a big hurry and you could possibly see the dissent among their players become open and van Gaal getting his marching orders before the end of the season.

The problem is that though they're there for the taking, we're probably even poorer than they are, just like last season.  Instead of exploiting their current situation, we're going to be the perfect tonic for it - if/when they win, the media will seize upon de Gea as their saviour and it'll be seen as a "turnaround match" and the like.

It really is just such a crucial match.  Whoever wins has 10 points from 5 games, and starts to look good for fourth after a brief early wobble.  Whoever loses has 7 points from 5 games and is on a 2-game losing streak, and the media will be starting to talk about the manager coming under pressure.  It's just such a shame that we're much more likely to be in the latter position at the end of it than the former.

Strong rumours tonight that De Gea is going to sign a new 5 year contract for them cunts.

If that happens you just know he will have another stormer against us!

That'll be only to protect the sell on price for next summer when Madrid come knocking again.

Yeah, I think there is a definite buy out clause within it.

Typical that he will play tomorrow and will have a blinder (if we even manage to have any shots!)

A year and a half ago we went there and bummed them 3 nil. Barely anyone remembers it because it was expected. We were that much better than them. Fuck sake.

when we got bummed 3 nil by them last season we were marginally the better side that day too. The problem being that Sterling hits the ball like a fanny and they had Brad fuckin Jones doing his best to help them.

Ah Brad Jones, what another genius Rodgers decision that was - quite possibly the worst goalkeeper in Liverpool history.

Thinking of Sterling, he'd have been great at providing crosses for Benteke. Do we have any wide options for getting crosses to him? Henderson drifting there when he's back, Clyne maybe? Ibe clearly isn't there yet.

The Brad Jones business was strange. Mignolet loses his spot, Jones steps in and not long into his first game walks off the pitch injured, no one from the medical staff went on, disappears and never plays again. Never saw a goalkeeper just walk off like that. Whole thing looked like a set-up.

Worst performance ever from a goalkeeper. Dives the wrong way for a shot from the 18 yard line, lets the ball bounce in the 6 yard box for the second, when nothing was stopping him coming out to collect it. His positioning for the third is the worst i've ever seen from a keeper, he's 6 yards off his goal line for no reason and he covers non of the goal.

If we had a world class keeper that game would of ended 0-0.

As bad as Jones was, pretty horrific defending from Moreno and Allen to let Valencia walk past them for the first.

Henderson doesn't cover himself in glory letting Young cross for the second either.

Goal number three. Lovren. Can't even be bothered typing more.

    • Just a thought, listening to all these ex pro's on Tele talking about the big 6 being greedy don't care about fans out for themselves. I wonder if any of these pundits ever moved club's because they were offered more money? And I wonder if these pro's gave a fuck about the fans they were leaving behind who had payed THEIR wages and I wonder how many (Robbie Savage) mentioned downing tools to force a move through, Rio Ferdinand has had alot to say lately didn't he move from Leeds to Utd despite knowing the history between the two sets of fans. All two face cunts.
    • Yeah I'm sure every extra penny would be spent on the squad or stadium
    • Not sure how the 'we go it alone' for the next tv deal works out. We and the other 5 clubs will be outvoted at every opportunity that doesnt benefit 'the 14.' They've already shown their intent by kicking representatives off PL committees. Everything is off the table for the 6 and on the table for the 14. 3 of the 14 voting on this wont even be in the PL next season.   It really wouldnt surprise me for the 14 to become quite bullish over tv rights money. Theoretically, they could push just about anything through such as weighting the distribution of tv money to clubs who finish outside the top 6 because 'they have the added benefit of income from European football.'   Anyone think cunts like parish at palace and barber at brighton arent licking their lips over this? They've never had such a whip hand in football before.   The 6 have left themselves exposed like never before.
    • Yeah I can just see the Premier league expelling the biggest clubs in the league if they try this again while losing billions in TV money ect. Never going to happen.    Its not like the clubs were looking to break away from the Premier league so the league should just shut the fuck up.    You can guarantee any of those other Premier leagues clubs would have been invited they'd have been on the ESL bandwagon quicker than a tramp in chips.
